No it’s just hilarious because they constantly bash our schedule and claim they should be #1.

Your schedule IS weak. Your "remaining" strength of schedule is 72nd. LSU's is 9th.....and that is after we have played 2 Top 10 teams and have 2 more to play. Yours is propped up now because you played Texas A&M when they were ranked #12. Our is dragged down because played our 3 cupcake games and probably our weakest SEC oppopnent (Vanderbilt) in our first 5 games. SOS really shouldn't be basd on the entire schedule. It should probalby be based on your 5-6 toughest games. Every team in the SEC, especially the West, would prefer to play Clemson's schedule than have to play 8 SEC opponents every year. You won't even play a Top 10 team in your conference championship game.

Your schedule is shite.

We’re about to play our 3rd top 15 team.

Y’all haven’t played 3 teams with winning records.

Either you guys are trolling or delusional. There’s not one SEC team who wouldn’t trade their current SEC schedule to play the TOP 8 teams in the ACC. Many would lose to Clemson, but end up with extra wins in the end. At least a couple SEC teams run the table, with others having a smaller but decent chance of running the table.

You think Paul Fie Baum is why you’ve slid from 1st to fricking 4th without losing a game?

Or is it because you’ve played 2 teams with a winning schedule and they’re both 4-3

There would be a large talent gap if we were playing SEC teams for the most part as well.

There are 3 SEC teams ranked ahead of Clemson in the 247 Team Talent Composite.

There are 10 SEC teams in the top 25 of the Team Talent Composite. There are two ACC teams (Clemson and FSU).

Clemson has played well when it matters but acting like the talent disparity would be the same in the SEC is laughable.

SOR is just another term for style points which has proven to not mean much.

Not even close. From your ESPN link:
quote:

SOS: Strength of schedule played, from perspective of an average FBS team.

SOR: Strength of record - Reflects chance that an average Top 25 team would have team's record or better, given the schedule.

SOS rankings vary dramatically depending on the metric being used. For the average FBS team, there is a difference between playing an FCS opponent vs. playing a bottom-of-the-barrel G5 opponent. For the average top 25 team, it doesn’t really matter. Similarly, the average FBS team would lose to both Oregon and Texas A&M, while there is a huge difference between those matchups for the average top 25 team.

Basically ESPN’s standard SOS rankings don’t apply as much weight to the top-tier competition (read: games that are actually losable) as you really need to compare top 10 teams. SOR is better for this, and ESPN has LSU #1 in SOR, Clemson #8.

TeamRankings has LSU #11 and Clemson #25 in “so far” SOS rankings. They also have LSU #4 and Clemson #29 in full-season SOS rankings.

Clemson fan makes schedule comment about LSU.

LSU fan makes it about Bama.

For the record, your win over Texas is looking shittier by the week. Ou sleptwalked to a win with jalen friggin hurts at qb. Ou didn't even play well. Then, the Last second fg to beat.... ....Kansas. oh yea, the longhorns are roooolllllin

Since when is Texas a quality win this year? Have you watched them?

Yet they're still better than anyone Bama has played. You guys should let that sink in before talking about schedules.

And they are down 5-2 in the Big12 - that's equivalent to 3-4 in any decent conference

Honest question here. What would aTm's record be at this point if they had played UT's schedule?

Texas would clown stomp ags. This ain’t no debate. This is what happens when you play two top 5 teams. You get beat down injury wise and come out flat.
