Both the gumps and Clemson's signature win this year is aTm.

ETA: aTm is ranked about 32 or 33 now.

Nobody is saying SOS shows how good a team is. That’s absurd.

SOR is just another term for style points which has proven to not mean much.

Remember Alabama coasted last season before getting bitch slapped in the title game by a team who struggled a game or two in the ACC.

These facts do not support your narrative.

You have 2 cupcakes next month. Also, LSU and Auburn. It will be hard to get into the playoff with 2 losses, and 10 pastry wins.

Thankfully that's not something Bama will have to worry about.

Although don't be too down baw, more than likely LSU will manage to actually score this year.

Texas is 5-2, as long as they win, no matter if they have to score 60, it is still a good win. Texas is down 3 starting DB's since the LSU game and this is the worst Pass defense in Texas football history, from what I have read. I am not a Herman fan but my guess is he is going to ride Sam Ehlinger and try to win by outscoring other teams. Even when they get those DB's back, and 2 might play this week vs. TCU, not much you can do to fix the defense this late in the year. The strange thing is all these guys are 4-5 star guys, LSU and OU recruited all of them hard, as did Aggie. So if talented players are not performing, that is on Herman and his Defensive Staff, i.e. coaching.

If Clemson wins out, they are in the playoff. But if I were a Clemson fan, I would worry if Clemson dropped a game. I don't know about ESPN's metrics, but I have seen Real RPI's and the ACC is ranked 6th in terms of power rankings as league, the American Athletic is ranked 5th with SEC 1, Big 10 2, Big 12 3 and PAC 4.

I think most Clemson fans agree that unless something crazy happens, Clemson is out with any loss.

And we are not saying that Clemson's schedule is amazing. It is just being pointed out that up to this point, Clemson's schedule is no different than LSU's, Alabama's and Ohio States'. They are all pretty mediocre. That will change for those three schools over the next 4 weeks and Clemson's schedule will continue to be mediocre.

I think the problem is that if you asked your average fan what has been the SOS of LSU/Bama and what has been the SOS of Clemson - the average fan would say LSU's SOS is top 20 and Clemson's SOS is not in the top 80. Clemson could beat every remaining opponent by 40 points (including UofSC) and SEC fans would say they don't belong.

Who has Clemson played in the top 25? A&M is your best win.

Honestly, I dont even see how Clemson fans are even interested in their games anymore. No real rivals. It's so boring to watch. Patsies every week, week after week. I get wanting to make the playoff but I also like watching compelling regular season matchups my team plays in too. Makes football season fun to watch big time games. Clemson has none of that.

dude the more you post on this topic...the more my suspicions are confirmed....wasn't the whole premise of why you started this thread is to show that Clemson's SOS was superior to others and therefore should reflect that Clemson is a better team? Otherwise, wtf are you here starting this topic in the first place?

why does your douchebag QB takes himself out Heisman contention because he selfishly tries to force homerun balls and get intercepted over and over?

It has a lot to do with the strength of our team.

There would be a large talent gap if we were playing SEC teams for the most part as well.

There isn't one team in the top 5 of the SEC that wouldn't blow North Carolina out. Not saying Clemson wouldn't still be undefeated but it would be a hell of a lot more compelling than what you've been watching. Your games are unwatchable. Dog shite.

Danny, we don't have to worry about LSU. They have their yearly letdown coming soon with Bama. And that always means dropping another one after they lose their Super Bowl

thats just not true dude, A&M was going to be your best opponent and they turned out to suck this year, credit to you guys though for scheduling out of conference teams that are not cupcakes....like Duke for example.

To say that your schedule is similiar to LSU's is laughable. They played all of their rent-a-wins already while you guys still have mighty wofford? never even heard of them. We all schedule easy wins vs small schools....but playing at Texas is no easy win as well as Florida and Auburn this week before Bama. You guys have played a shitty A&M at home, cool.

I would give my left nut to have Clemsons schedule every year, have one maybe two tough games a year and the rest just dont suck balls and your in the playoffs.
