Dan Wolken is a political activist posing as a sports reporter, hope he gets canned.

Sports media has become pointless, they are puppets.

Sports Media was always pointless. There is literally nothing worth discussing on TV.

I still think it's funny that Tennessee fans used the Penn State stuff as an excuse when the real reason they threw a hissy fit is because they convinced themselves they were getting Gruden

this is so true.

Wolken writes whatever his friends at the schools and the NCAA ask him to.
When the NCAA needed to control the narrative on the Ole Miss case, the first
call was to Wolken.

I've gone through a ton of the info and so far Wolken is the only one Currie is giving legit info too and the only national reporter involved. Oddly enough, he was in the process of talking to Wolken about spin when all hell broke loose. People were threatening to cut all ties due to Schiano. They didn't complain that he was a shitty coach either. They complained that he was a pedo-enabler, associated with PSU and at worst didn't know the man he worked with for 7 years was raping kids, man of poor character, and things along those lines etc.

People can stick to the 'they thought they were getting Gruden' line all they want but the fact is nothing like this happened with Kiffin, Dooley, and Jones and they were shitty hires from the get-go. (Even Kiffin with his rehabbed image was a lousy fricking hire given his experience and who he was replacing).

From Currie's emails/IMs (I starred out the phone number because one of you Dawg ranters had to be behind this one):

So, Clay Travis accuses John Currie of using the media to manipulate the simple minded fans, when, in fact, Clay Travis was actually more guilty of using the media to manipulate the simple minded fans?

I despise Clay Travis.

Ut fans reminiscing about their coaching search. They enjoy being a laughing stock I guess.

The real irony here is that Travis has railed for years against the internet lynch mob... then he single handedly led the mob that stopped the Schiano hire and got Currie fired
