When Zabransky and Boise State were opening the 2005 season in Athens, Zabransky's dad was an Army officer in Iraq. He got to take an early leave in time to see the game, but lacked the funds (or time to accumulate them) to go.
A week before the game, news of this got out and hundreds of Georgia fans got the money together to bring out Zabransky's dad and mom to Athens.
