11? Only 9 players on the field. This pretty much explains the difficult 2025 season.

SA is a B school at best
quote:I don't know, do they? You're the one making the assertions about them. I know some high achievement individuals who went to both. You still haven't mentioned Starkville Christian.
Do they have honor classes?
quote:You can't even type out a coherent sentence, what school did you go to, lazy boy? I hope you pay better attention to your insurance policies than you do a simple post shitting on a good school.
Do yourself a favor and just to Heritage Academy.
quote:We certainly do. Are you being sarcastic?
I guess we all need tradesman though.
If not, are you retarded? You are aware you're an insurance salesman meeting literally every stereotype of an ole miss alumnus who's shitting on skilled tradesmen? Did you even grow up in Mississippi, or even go to ole miss, or did you just become a fan because of the good ole days when they sang dixie and waved rebel flags and spit on blacks and beat their wives?
We definitely need tradesmen. What's wrong with tradesmen? I'm asking as an engineer who pays $35,000+ of premiums per year who's fired many a useless insurance salesman: what's wrong with a tradesman?
I'll hang up and listen.

cross Skip Johnson off your list your dreaming. If he didnt take Texas or A@M job hes not coming to MSU.
For the record I find it quite funny the only coach to ever win a NC ever at Mississippi state is being forced out? Brilliant.

Man, imagine the folks lining up to join the Mississippi State athletic department and live in Starkville, MS! What an opportunity!

Out of all those, Skip Johnson feels the most “Mississippi State”.
He’s older than Bisnco and pushing 60

First question I would ask if contacted by MS State would be centered around what type of NIL commitment, plans, etc they have specifically towards baseball. Facilities and traditions are great but if you are at a recruiting/NIL disadvantage compared to the rest of the league, winning becomes really difficult. And, that seems to be the case with State across most sports.
Well we just had 11 players drafted off last years team including a 1st and 2nd rounder. We have put a number of players in the majors in recent years. I don’t think nil or recruiting players to State will be an issue. We just need an ALPHA type head coach who can win close games.

Skip Johnson is probably the favorite.

Yea, def nice stadium. And willing to spend money on baseball. But history and tradition seems to mean a lot less. So, any school can get kids to come play. Miss State may have money, but they don't have UNC money. But, I think it comes down to location. It's hard enough convincing people to move to the deep south. A lot of highly paid coaches (and athletes) would not want to live in Starkville MS.

there are a ton of tradesmen making way more than many with law degrees.

These threads are always tiresome.
NOBODY goes into coaching the if they prioritize $ or where they live.
To someone who has chosen to coach baseball as a profession, MSU has everything they could ask for, because MSU has been asked for it & has either built it or provided it ( whatever “it” is)

MissSt fans aren’t going to tolerate baseball mediocrity for long. Along with LSU and Texas and Arkansas, they easily have one of the most passionate and largest baseball fanbases in the conference.
