If they go undefeated in the regular season two years in a row. They should be in.

They played Georgia tough in their bowl game. And they beat Notre Dame this season.

Houston and SMU not being ranked is suss.

Their schedule is suspect.

They don't control their destiny. And shouldn't.

Nope. Cincy's SOS is bad. Other than ND, Cincy scheduled 3 weak non-conference opponents: FCS Murray St. (3-5), Miami-Ohio (4-5), Indy (2-6). To truly earn a top-4 CFP ranking a G5 needs to schedule and beat several quality P5 teams.

Bama still has to play and beat LSU, Arky, Auburn and Georgia to get in. OSU has to play and beat Mich St, Mich and the B1G-West winner. Oregon & OU also have to win out to get in. But Cincy "deserves" to get in for beating ND and winning the AAC?

No, here is why, A&M didn’t make the playoffs last year bc of our Strength of Schedule being too low, but you want to reward Cincinnati? I say F them

They struggled way too much woth Navy and Tulane. They were actually better last season.

You cant be top 4 and struggle to put away a 1-6 team.

And they will be the last to get an opportunity because they’ll lose to UGA by 4 TDs

Indiana had more wins in the Big 10 last season* than your championship game opponent. Can’t fault Cincy for having them on the schedule.

So in the following scenario who does UC kick out?

Ohio State with 1 loss who finished by beating 3rd ranked Mich state, top 10 michigan, ranked big ten opponent in big championship?

Alabama with 1 loss and beats undefeated Georgia?

Georgia with 1 loss in close game vs bama?

Oregon, 1 loss pac 12 champ who beat ohio state?

Undefeated Michigan State who beat ohio state?

And that doesn't even include an undefeated Oklahoma.

Cincinnati will need help to get in.
If the above scenarios play out they won't get in and shouldn't get in.

You can’t have undefeated Mich State and a one-loss OSU, right?

They deserve a Big 12 conference invite; not playoff spot over a 1 loss or better P5 conference champ

But there arent any amazing teams this year. Every single top team is suspect in some way or another. Why not let the Cinderella have a shot? I think UGA beats them but I don't think Ohio State or OU blows them out.

correct, but either scenario would deserve to get in over UC.

Texas beats Georgia. "Doesn't count, wasn't the playoffs so Georgia didn't try."

Cincinnati loses to Georgia. "Quality loss last year, they should be in the playoffs."

I took it as either or.

1 loss Baylor or Okie Lite Conf Champs(vice OU)

Undefeated Wake could also be in that scenario.

I'd not put Cincy in over any of them. ND is the only reason they are in the top 100 in SOS.

Cincy plays a schedule tougher than lots of P5 schools and is undefeated. Bama would beat them in a game but Cincy deserves to be in the top 4 more than them.
