So the pros for each:

Tennessee
- taxes

UCLA
- blue blood
- top program in conference
- living in LA
- better recruiting
- history

I would take Knoxville over L.A. every day of the week.

It's great if you're a Spanish speaking communist.

I’m thinking your opinion would change if you made $5M a year.

I don’t know man, Knoxville is a dump. Then again, I’m not the most objective person when it comes to the Volunteers - those sorry arse Hillbilly frackers.

If all of these are pluses, why can't they hire a good coach. Who was the last good coach UCLA had?

Many times. The traffic is the worst thing I’ve ever experienced outside of Atlanta.

probably about right. Harrick had a decent run there, but that was before the turn of the century. UCLA is cheap. They gave Chip Kelly a little over $4M a year, IIRC.

Steve Levin's offense was fun to watch.

Both #UCLA and #Tennessee have offered Rick Barnes five years deals,
@WBIRrussell reports.

Multiple outlets are reporting that Barnes will make his decision at some point today, and considering he's on eastern time in Tennessee, this could be solved within the next few hours.

exactly. It's also gang riddled. They deal with earthquakes, mudslides, and wild fires. Tennessee is a much nicer place to live, IMO.....especially if you are getting up there in age.

Barnes wouldn’t live anywhere near gang violence. Wild fires and other natural disasters don’t really affect the city of LA. The closest wild fire was Holy Fire and it was way south of LA.

Earthquakes are legit something to be concerned over though, imo.

Living in LA isn’t something I’d want to do either. But I’m also not a millionaire. And I frequent Knoxville probably 15 times a year. It’s ok.
