I don't know if I've ever seen a more scared OP in the entire history of the internet as I'm now seeing now with this OP.

Honestly, I bet Saban could convince Kelly to put in a year or two. Hell, Kelly might be hungry for an NC, just to have one to put on his trophy shelf. But he's decidedly not a long-term solution. He'd never settle for being a career college OC after his success as a college HC, and Saban might be leery because of that. Kiffin and Sark were in need of rehabilitation. Barring personal conflicts, as with Sark, Saban could count on them needing to stay for a while. Kelly, on the other hand, could get a college HC job immediately right now if any came open. Saban's a guy who likes having his house in order and predictable. Three OCs in three games has to be a bit annoying to him, and hiring Kelly would likely just mean he'd be going through all this again next January.
