Chollie needs to send his bag men to Auburn for remedial training.

Good move. Setting modest goals is the key to rebuilding a program.

Texas was 6-7 last year. So they're going to have to win 2 more games this year to be like Auburn.

So not able to beat A&M at home? Pretty sure Texas would hate that

There is always a whiff of smugness about Texas football that belies its past 40 years on the field, which have produced just one national title and only eight top-five finishes. Strictly based on résumé, this would make Texas far more like Georgia or Pittsburgh than Alabama, Ohio State or USC

Hot damn!

They're making wholesale changes to their offense after one year with coordinators that have no experience with what they're trying to do.

They had 5 Florida players and spammed the Internet with Florida 5 memes and talking points about how Texas kids were too developed already only to finish with only one of the 5.

This list could go on but I'm actually dissapointed it's happening so fast. Need a slow bleed.

The full quote is better:

quote:

He’s not trying to re-create Louisville on a bigger stage; the Texas of 2015 is trying to emulate Auburn. Texas is no longer setting the agenda for football in the state; the Longhorns are adjusting on the fly just to keep up.

After that arse whipping in the Texas bowl, he ought want to be like Arkansas. It's borderline erotic.

I think they're trying to get to a place wehre they can beat arky. So emulating auburn is a good move.

Use context clues. 1st sentence is about offensive philosophy, 2nd sentence is separate.

Bama has had more success against us, so maybe they should emulate them.

Dam, Dam, Dam....that isn't true! Neither Texas or Pittsburgh is anywhere near UGA. But I get the perception....

Oh i expect they have plenty of options to emulate if beating arky is their goal.

It isn't the dig at Auburn you think I am going at. I think it is a huge distinction. It shows that they don't know what they are doing.

They are trying to EMULATE Auburn. Not outright do like Auburn.

Auburn hired a new head coach and new staff in order to have the recent success that program has had under Gus. Charlie is taking his current staff as is and is trying to force them to copy what an Auburn has done. Obviously this is a recipe for failure, so as an Aggie I quoted the whole thing for full context.

People on this forum are too defensive sometimes.
