I would not mind that, but we aren’t getting out of the first round. We suck on the road.

Sampson and our defense will get us a shot, but we will stupid penalty and turnover our way to a 14+ point loss.

What will the country think about Texas vs UGA in the championship game?

I’ll be impressed if Texas can even get by Clemson with that O Line

If they value conference championships so much that only conference champs get byes, shouldn’t the other conference champs get home games?

I would much rather get rid of the conference champs auto bid altogether since not all conferences are created equally. However, if the playoffs value them that much, it logically should trickle all the way down.

Typical ahole UGA fan. Too dumb and arrogant to realize how fortunate his team was to win the game.

Oregon and Georgia being #1 & 2 got the worst path to the semi finals where Texas and Penn St. the teams they beat got the easiest path to the semi finals.

Oregon and Georgia have a bye; 3 weeks to prepare and one less game to play. Wah. They'll be fine.

Penn St may have it easy if you think SMU and Boise will be push overs. Texas is going to have their hands full with both Clemson and Arizona St.

And why cry about a hard path? if you're the best, then you can beat the better teams at their best.

Three of the four first round games are to be played in Indiana, Pennsylvania, and Ohio. Outdoors. Late December. This may not go as planned.

Losing the conf champ game worked out wonderfully for Texas and Penn St.

The kicker is the second round games are at neutral sites!

Most ADs would prefer the home game followed by easier opponent given that scenario.

SMU lost on last minute and last second field goals to ranked teams. 3 points.
Three points is all Bama could score against OU which ran a ONE dimensional offense due to ELEVEN starters/key backups out for not only that game but almost the entire season.

Obviously, Bama "didn't want to be there."

Lesson-lose to a top ten Tennessee team and finish 11-1 and you're in. But throw in 2 more losses to a pair of cellar dwellers from your conference and you're out.

I don’t have a mega issue with SMU being in. Bama had many blown shots. I do have a huge issue with SMU getting in over the 12Th (last seed who is 16th overall in their rankings) that just beat them lke 24 hours ago. There is zero possible justification for this.

Insofar as this goes to SMU Vs Bama, UGA made Clemson look like a middle school team and barely lost to Bama on last minute black magic. One is obviously a caliber above the other

Oregon had a pretty light regular season and UGA has beaten 3 teams on their side of the bracket already.

UGA 4-0 vs playoff teams
UO 2-0 vs playoff teams.

Seems fair to me.

Everyone taking shots at Bama will be in a same situation one day and get fricked over in favor of some glorified junior college team. You’ll get your comeuppance because this system is locked in and complete bullshite.
It’s pretty much bullshite.

Where’s the love for Army?
A one loss conference champion whose one loss is to Notre Dame.
They last amateur athletes. West Point. The Long Gray Line.
Should have given them a shot.
They earned it.
