As an LSU fan who am I supposed to pull for, Alabama or Tulane? Can we bring back the tie for the post-season?

The SEC Champ will get in the playoffs. Doesn’t matter if it’s Bama, UGA, or any other team. The SEC Champ will get in period. The Question is if Bama wins does the SEC get 2 teams in or do they put in 2 from the Big 10.

It’s essentially just a poll until after conference championship games. If you recall a few years back that Baylor got dropped from 4th to 6th and out of the playoff when they actually sit down and deliberate

I agree. But if Alabama gets in over Texas what does that say about head to head and in season. Doesn’t that promote more meaningless OOC games. The whole most deserving vs best argument is pretty subjective. Just my opinion.

Texas gets in over Bama (if a miaracle happens and GA hands them the game) .. Texas whooped that Bama-er azz at Bama by double digits . Bama is OUT. Looks like Tulane for Bama-er (lol)

My personal opinion. If Alabama wins I still think Texas should get in over Alabama. Head to head. That’s the only thing I thing NFL has over college. Pretty clear cut who are the best teams.

The Orange Bowl is required to take the highest ranked ACC team this year. If FSU is in the playoffs, Louisville gets Orange Bowl.

Head to heads should matter but it can’t be just about that. What if say Georgia lost to Tulane this season and Tulane ended up undefeated. Even though UGA is the better and most dominant team would they get left out of the playoff just because they lost a game they probably just overlooked and didn’t take seriously or just had a bad game with penalties or a bad turnover? Sometimes the best team doesn’t always win. That’s why head to head should be used kinda like a tiebreaker if there is no separation between two teams using other metrics.

New Years 6 as in the Access Bowls when they started in 2014. I could go back a pull a better list than that for Ole Miss if I went to the 50’s and 60’s
