I threw out a chaos scenario a few weeks ago that didnt pan out, but would have been exciting if it had. But these are fun to think about so I have another:

Minnesota beats Ohio State in the B1G Championship.

Georgia beats LSU in the SECC.

Undefeated Clemson.

I think it would be some combination of those 5 teams that gets in. Who gets left out?

I can’t wait until all these Playoff Scenario “What If” threads stop being posted by Alabama fans.

Also, if Georgia beats LSU, LSU won’t make the playoffs.

That will be their second loss of the season.

Will dipshit, this one doesnt have anything to do with Alabama getting in so it shouldn’t matter if I was a Tulane fan. I just like college football.

Btw, get ready to STTDB this weekend.

Wrong. They will both make it.

Correct..unless LSU loses to A&M Saturday. They would then have 2 losses

You still have to account for a one loss pac 12 or big 12 champ in any scenario among 1 loss teams

I've been saying for a few weeks now that LSU should be slightly nervous if they lose, they'l PROBABLY still get in but it damn sure isn't a lock. I'm not quite ready to call my shot as an upset with them being left out, but the history of the playoff selections would show us that teams in LSU's position generally do not make it. On the flip side though, teams in LSU's position thus far haven't had the resume they do either.

I didn’t think Alabama fans on here were allowed to flame A&M fans

Way to buck the system

Just my opinion, but if Bama beats Auburn and is a one loss team, I think they would get in over a Big12 or PAC12 champ, especially if LSU wins out.

The scenarios are interesting. Are the relevant teams supposed to ignore the playoffs since irrelevant teams like a&m won't make it?

I dont think you do. I purposely left them out of this scenario because I think we can go ahead and rule them out of contention.

You have a point, but I don't see how the playoff committee could leave them out because of an upset loss in the SECCG. Their resume is just too good, and the "eye test" (which I admittedly hate) sure leads me to believe they are truly one of the best 4 in the country.

Depends on what else happens. If UGA and Minnesota win out it'll be interesting to see who gets that 4th spot. OU and Utah could be potential 1 loss conference champs, but their resumes don't hold up to LSU's or OSU's. Would think UGA has a better chance of beating LSU than Minnesota beating OSU, but I just can't see either team winning in a blow out. UGA's offense isn't good enough and OSU's defense is too good.
