Correct..unless LSU loses to A&M Saturday. They would then have 2 losses

I guess you picked the wrong time to stop sniffing glue

if Bama beats Auburn and is a one loss team, I think they would get in over a Big12 or PAC12 champ

they unequivocally would not be in

I don't see how the playoff committee could leave them out because of an upset loss in the SECCG. Their resume is just too good, and the "eye test" (which I admittedly hate) sure leads me to believe they are truly one of the best 4 in the country.

-It's not about "best teams" though, if ti was then LSU should have received an autobid after they beat bama and OSU after they beat penn state. I mean, I don't think anyone can possbily deny those are 2 of the "best" teams, but the playoffs are abotu best resume/most deserving
-I fully and wholeheartedly believe LSU woudl demolish utah/baylor/osu or anyone else competing fo rhtat 4th spot
-Wiht that said, the commitee has proven over and over again that conference titles mean a frick ton, I mean A LOT. You would have a 1-loss lsu that didn't win their conference going against some 1-loss teams that did win their P5 conference. History has shown us that the conf champs get in. That's all I'm really saying, that if things stayed the status quo that LSU would be left out. HOWEVER, I"ve also been very quick to point out this would be a moldbraking scenario since similar taems in this scenario (the exact same thing happened in 2015 btw) wouldn't have LSU's current resume.

So again, they would proooobably still get in but it absolutely will not be a given.

Unless your team is Alabama. LSU seems like a lock to make the playoffs. The only way I see LSU possibly not making it, besides losing to a&m and UGA, is if they lose AND OSU loses. In that case they'd have to hope their game was more competitive. Not sure which way they committee would go in that scenario. Both LSU and OSU would be more deserving than OU or Utah.

Or Ohio State. They got in a few years ago as non conference champs.
