The bottom two SEC teams, Kentucky (1-14 in their last 15 conference games), and Mississippi State (0-16 in their last 16 conference games) played Texas this season as close as Ohio State did.

That’s really all the proof you need.

As long as every team has that going on, then it doesn’t cause disparity.

Do you think Indiana is paying their players as much as Ohio State, Alabama, Georgia and Texas?

I guarantee you the pay gap is smaller this season than it was pre-NIL.

Right now Alabama can still afford another loss, maybe even 2 if the 2nd is somehow in the SECCG and still make it to the playoffs and have a chance at the NC as long as they get hot and healed at the right time. That's actually kind of terrible.

They've killed what was the best regular season in all of sports.

You realize there's a 12 team playoff now? These rankings dont matter, it will all get sorted out in the playoffs. This isnt the bcs era where we were all fighting over two spots.
Having an easier path to the playoffs does matter. The obvious reasons are (1) you avoid injuries, (2) you increase the national profile of your program, and (3) you get more chances to win it all.

Look at all the overrated SEC teams from the pre-season poll and some are benefitting from being overranked still.

Yep. Georgia Tech may end up in the playoff without beating a single Top 40 team. That would do amazing things for their program yet there are probably 11-12 SEC teams that would be favored over Tech on a neutral field.

That’s a problem.

So wouldn't it be a positive for Ohio state that they did better against Texas than those two teams did? Im confused about your point on this one.

Disagree! Glad to finally see teams play meaningful games during the season. Used to be that good teams would avoid competitive opponents during the season by loading up on compass schools and scheduling a bye before their one meaningful in-season game in order to puff out their collective chest and claim that they deserve being in the national championship game. Now? They finally have to prove it on the field and we see great matchups every week. If Indiana and Ohio State are good, then they'll have no problem matching up with a two-loss SEC runner-up and then we'll have a true picture of parity. The playoff will straighten it out.

Indiana is legit no matter how much that pains you or anyone else. They went on the road and whooped Oregon especially in the 2nd half amd have put 75 on everyone else including Illinois who was top 15/10 at the time

Kentucky, Mississippi State, and Ohio State all played Texas down to the wire. If you think being in the same category as two teams that have combined to go 1-31 their last 31 SEC games, so be it.

I see it as OSU isn’t as good as were led to believe.

Also, every road game in the SEC is an absolute battle. There is no easy venue to play in.

Half the BIG 10 teams have sections blocked off with tarps to hide the empty seats. Playing on the road there is simply not the same.

Indiana hasn’t played a regular season Out-of-Conference opponent from a power Conference since 2023… and has only played one such game since 2019.

The playoffs were garbage last season.. particularly round 1.

That's because of the forced seeding. If the games had been seeded properly they'd have been a lot better.

You SEC guys are being exposed and you can’t stand that the on field results in a true playoff are making you a joke.

Ranked teams mean nothing. Clemson was ranked at one point. FSU was ranked at one point. Texas was ranked PRESEASON #1 and they suck.

You guys still buy this myth that playing or beating a ranked team matters. GT beat the #12 team in the country in Clemson and Clemson sucks and you scream teams like GT haven’t played ranked teams. The SEC gets every benefit when it comes to the rankings. LSU is still getting votes and their biggest win was over a top 5 Clemson who sucks.

The playoffs are the only non-biased truth and the SEC with a real playoff has not won a Natty. I fully expect the SEC to be exposed again because we’ve all watched the games and not one SEC team stands out. They have a lot of good teams and probably have more good teams than the BIG or ACC but what does that matter? Does anyone care if the AFC West is the best if the Eagles blast them in the playoffs?

If UGA needing 8 overtimes to beat a depleted GT last year (with Beck) and then easily being beaten by ND (after winning the SECCG) didn’t make you guys pause and think for a second. Then Bama losing to FSU and then running thru their SEC schedule this year doesn’t turn on your light bulb then no one can rationalize with you.

You guys getting 4 or 5 teams in the playoff won’t make a difference because those teams aren’t the juggernauts of years past. Sure, your stacking ping pong balls to increase your conference percentages, but in the end it’s individual teams playing and no SEC scares anyone.

You do realize the SEC beats the shite out of each other during the regular season while Ohio state gets to coast into the playoffs every single season?
