Montana -- Montana State: There are only two DI schools in the state -- Montana and Montana State -- so this is pretty straight forward. Montana State has won its last four against Montana and made back-to-back FCS playoffs in 2018 and 2019.

Where the frick have I been? Montana used to own Montana State and the rest of D1-AA.

Memphis has had a better record the last couple of years than the Vols. It’s a benefit of playing in a highschool conference.

They've beaten way better teams than UT in that stretch of years also...

It's a good list except for Michigan. I know Harbaugh gets a lot of hate, but Michigan has been better and more stable than Sparty as of late.

State has been more consistent as of late. State was not the better team in 2020. Who knows as to 2021?

But it's pretty unreal Illinois is a NW state. There's just no explanation why UI can't be such a force in the B1G

It's based on the past 3-4 seasons.

I know they probably could’ve finished 2nd or 3rd in the West last year…

Both teams will improve with Leach and Kiffin. Not sure which ceiling is higher. So far, MSU looks a lot better and deeper in every area for 2021, but there is very little room for error in the SEC West.
