Lunacy. Coacheshotseat.com ranks AU job as number 1 available. If Chizik, Tuberville, and Terry Bowden can go undefeated here you'd be a fool to think that a highly successful coach couldn't do well here. I didn't read the article but I'm guessing it had something to do with "the NCAA is coming and Auburn is going to be destroyed." Simply not true, the fact that Trooper Taylor is out on the road recruiting for Auburn right now should tell you something about this.

The amusing thing is that this is always par for the course when the Auburn job comes open. The Bama-led media will report misinformation and stop at nothing to try to denigrate the job. (see Finebaum).

auburn sucks and is on the NCAA hotseat.
auburn fans think we're stupid Gumps and auburn is the #1 job in the country.

I really don't care, other than hoping you inbred fricktards throw about 10 million at another Gene Chizik. Keep burning, barn. Just keep burning.

So it was the Bama-led media that cause the job to become open to begin with.

You're on your own there bud. I'll catch it the next loop around when it comes pulling into the station on fire.

I'm thinking Auburn is in BIG trouble... tied for last in the SEC, looming NCAA sanctions, Alabama, Florida and Georgia on a roll, their AD is a short-timer, and they're about to start anew with a new Coach and a new system. They're going to be down for the forseeable future...

Give Gus Malzahn 2 years and a great DC, and he'll have AU winning again.

Gump stupidity is endless. Sorta one of those things you really have to experience to really believe.

AU is so fricked that the main coach that was pulled off the recruiting trail is the same coach still working this week...recruiting.

Yeah, it is amazing. I guess we are just giving the NCAA the middle finger and telling them to shove it up their arse like we did with the Cam stuff.

There is a reason that AU had to hire a dud like Chiz. It's a hard job to win consistently at

You really couldn't be more wrong. AU's a place where it is hard to NOT consistently win at.

They're certainly in a pickle now. Chiz' attrition has left them at the equal to a post-NCAA sanction talent/depth level and the new coach is going to have to run more off to restore discipline, but the problems are an indictment of Chiz rather than the program.

The facilities are great. They've got all the financial resources they need. They've got a rabid (if somewhat paranoid) fan base. They're geographically suited to easily recruit into Georgia, Tennessee, North Florida, and even the Carolinas.

Any coach that can find his arse with one hand will average 9 wins a season and contend for the west every few. A really good one will do even better.

I can't believe I just wrote this. I feel so incredibly dirty now. I need to go sacrifice a tree at the feet of Saban's statue and maybe teabag something.
