I didn’t write the article for CBS, sir.

Actually he never entered the portal and Alabama still contacted him. He , his parents, and Coach Brown were not happy and reported it. People who live in glasshouses

We would have gone undefeated with Maye.

Auburn went 6-7.

That’s probably why Alabama broke the rules when they contacted him

Drake Maye turned down a similar offer from Alabama to stay at North Carolina.

I'll take things that didn't happen for $1,000, Alex.

A guy like Taulia could easily get a seven figure offer from a SEC level team.

Probably true. But what could he get from Auburn? That’s what this thread is about.

No it wouldn't. Again, not with the WR group we had.
You almost beat two of the best teams in the game. You don’t think going from an awful QB to a pretty good one would have been worthwhile?

You never know, but Bama more likely would have won the title last season with Maye under center.

Saban turned down millions a year at Alabama to play by his own rules since everyone can pay players legally.

I think you are probably right Tuscaloosa, but it's funny how some other Bama fans are claiming Maye was never offered or would he have helped.

Pretty laughable.

I did refresh my memory, apparently Bama offered Maye $5 million to transfer.

Maye offered $5 mil

You are assuming the QB was the whole problem when it was clearly not.
And he still was not worth 1.5 million

Sure thing. The B1G all time leading passer isn't better than the shite QBs at Auburn.

Imagine being stupid enough to say that out loud.

Yet, Yella Fella would have sent his guys into the forest to secure Taulia's talent.

Not if Freeze didn't want him.

No I’m not. I didn’t say you go from a seven loss team to a top 4 team. I said you’d be better. Materially better. 1.5 million is chump change to a program like Auburn
