Bottom line, TAMU is still the most talented team on BAMA's schedule, regardless of QB issues so far.

Not really, LSU is more talented.

hmm. I think I see a trend there. It's almost as if everybody wants to watch Alabama.

This is not a list of the most-watched games, its a list of games chosen by CBS for the prime time game.

That's not fair to Kentucky. They are actually a solid team.

prudent to note that Tagovailoa was injured (yet again) 2 games before LSU in 2019 and missed the game before LSU. Most folks thought he would miss the LSU game too. And honestly, he shouldn't have played till he was healthy. Note the season that the LSU vs Alabama game wasn't in the top 10. Yep. 2019. The season that Tua was most severely injured and Alabama wasn't headed to the playoffs.

This is not a Top 10 of the most watched games. This is listing 10 of the last 10 SEC games aired on prime time by CBS. The reason the 2019 game is not on the list is because it was not aired in prime time.... it has absolutely nothing to do with Tua.

In fact, that game had 16.6 million viewers despite airing in the 3:30 PM ET slot. It's the second highest rated Alabama-LSU game since 2011.

America's team.

This moron doesn't realize that 2019 LSU-Alabama wasn't a primetime game.

Preseason, this looked like a smart idea.

This game should have been changed to an 11 AM kick off. Give UGA-Auburn primetime.

Major face plant. Not even close to accurate.

The 2019 Bama-LSU game was the 2nd most watched regular season game for all of college football since 2012 (behind Ohio State vs. Michigan 2016)... but yes, you are correct, Alabama had become somewhat unlikely to make the playoff by that point. So I guess by that logic you so eloquently demonstrated, America was fired up to watch the LSU Tigers head to the playoffs, hence the huge rating.

The poster BLG is highly intelligent in his own mind.

In the real world, his idiotic statements have to be corrected on a daily basis by other posters on this board (even among his own fanbase).

I'm not even sure if other Bammers claim him.

Not really. They were undefeated going into the LSU game, and still had an outside shot after the loss. The loss to Auburn eliminated them.

Yes, this is true. But the Alabama poster was trying to create a scenario that the Alabama-LSU game of 2019 was not highly rated (despite the fact that it was very highly rated) because America loves to watch Alabama march towards the playoff, and with the Tua injury, "America" had decided not to tune in to the game.

Yes, Bama was statistically very much in line for the playoff, but I do believe as soon as Tua went down with an injury, many thought the road was going to be far more difficult to get back without him as QB.

OK. So your list is prime time only games. Since all but one of the top 10 games are Alabama games, the question is why are you surprised that they picked Alabama yet again?

The Tua injury effect on that game is drastically overstated. The strength of the bama passing game was the 4 first round picks at WR, they had 400+ passing yards and scored 41 points. America watched it because it was a 1 vs 2 matchup, and there likely would have been a playoff rematch even with mac at QB without a bunch of Jordan hare voodoo. Nobody gives a shite about Alabama’s March to the playoff, they want to watch the best teams play. And A&M is not good this year, so ratings will suffer accordingly

most knowledgeable fans I know expected UA playoffs hopes to be severely questionable after he was injured and missed the next game, and were surprised he even played vs LSU

No one expected A&M to crater like they have. They were supposed to be a playoff contender. Losses to Arkansas and State? Not even on the radar in the preseason. I expected this to be our toughest game of the year.

As it turns out, Auburn will be our toughest game of the year.

I wouldn't say drastically because it was clear in the 1st quarter he was really rusty and unsure of his ankle holding up. But it was overstated on the overall game, and had no impact on the outcome.
