Its amazing how people can turn preseason #1 (with this poll at least) into a bad thing.
Yes, many preseason #1's do not finish #1, but that is true for every preseason rank because only one team can finish #1.
Whether we are preseason 1 or 10, it doesn't change anything. If we are good enough to be national title contenders, then we will do it.

I understand everyone's Alabama fatigue, but how can you not have them preseason #1?

Any top 10 WITH Notre Dame in it is a joke as well...

If A&M can beat Alabama with Bama coming off an open week and a offseason with payback on its mind, I'll be fully on board with them being #1.

I am a firm believer that you remain #1 until you are beaten, so Alabama would start next season as #1. I know Coach Saban says every season is a new and different one, but in my mind, you start where you finished when you are the #1 team.
