Numbers don’t mean much without context.

Only a fool would think that a matchup between a team ranked #3 and potentially the most historically revered program that is coming off a playoff appearance wouldn’t draw huge viewership.

Any sec Power while it is peaking vs Notre Dame would be a ratings Bonanza.....likely be the highest rated game of the year at least until halftime...

and when UGA is blowing out Notre Dame in the second quarter, people will stop watching, just like they did when Alabama played Notre Dame in the 2012 national title game, which puts the game as the 15th most watched national title game since the inception of the BCS. Two of the most historically revered programs in college football playing each other for a national championship is surely to set viewership records right?

I see this upcoming UGA/ND game being a gigantic letdown. UGA is going to beat the shite out of them.

People knew Notre Dame was a fraud in the title game. Their coach admitted it in the half time interview

That would be absolutely spectacular publicity for UGA.

The spread for the Alabama/ND game was 10. The spread in the UGA/ND game is 9.5....

We all knew 10 was a give me. 9.5 is irrelevant until we see both teams play.

2017 UGA/ND was a lower ranked game with two teams bouncing back from down years in the same time slot as several huge national matchups

It was also on at the same time as Auburn/Clemson and Oklahoma/Ohio State. Lots of quality viewing options that night.

OU/OSU have gigantic fanbases and both teams were ranked in the top 5 at the time of kickoff.

Nope, this game was listed

Nope,what?

We were referring to ABC games listed on there involving SEC teams and UF vs UK isn't one.

The game won't be on ABC and once again, even though they're in the same "family" with ESPN ABC isn't part of the SEC TV deal.

ND could lose this one 72-0, and the talking heads will still be saying they deserve a second shot. I don't think there's another program more overrated than them each year.

Exactly....Bastards can have 3 losses half way through the season and still be in the Top 10. F-em.

Sanford is going to be absolutely insane especially if this ends up being a top five matchup

It would take quite a bit for ND to jump to #5 from 9-10 in that short of a time span. It’ll likely be a top 10 matchup.

I have been a UGA fan too long to actually believe this. We should beat the shite out of them, but we should have beaten Texas last year too.
