How is this a case study? Auburn finished the regular season 10-2 while Bama was 11-1. They had a worse regular season record than Bama. Wildly different from six teams finishing with an identical regular season record and being left out due to playing an additional game that the other teams aren't required to play.
Ok do 2017 wisky
Undefeated and ranked ahead of bama going into their conf champ game. They lose the extra game as bama sits home. Wisky is punished and falls below idle bama

Different scenario as Bama only had one loss to Auburns 2 prior to Auburn getting pounded by Georgia.

The seccg always punishes the loser is the point. How much it punishes changes from year to year.

For the record, you're 100% right and arguing with imbeciles that are incapable of foresight

NOBODY WITH A BRAIN IS SAYING SEC CHAMP LOSER OUT

Bama is going to be the highest rated 2 loss team. Why would that change if they hypothetically have 3 losses one of which was an extra game that Tennessee and Georgia did not even play in?
Because the committee would take an extra loss into account

no its a positive data point just being in the game then neutral not negative per protocol

Losses are negative data points. Doesn’t matter if the game is extra, extra tough or both.

Every example you can come up with would have the SECCG loser still in the 12 team playoff.
Florida wouldn't have made it in 2015

If only someone had posted how far each SEC conference game loser had fallen during the 10 year 4 team CFP era.

Seriously try and walk me through your logic
Why is it ok to punish a team in a 4 team playoff but not a 12?
Either it’s illogical or it isn’t

No not the championship , committee said so

We would of been in 2010- 2103 and 2013 we would of won the natty. We have been fricked our entire lives. We should be in the playoffs this year as well if the SEC office hadn't of backed LSU instead of us

I think his point is it's better not to play in the title game. Rather sit idle and keep your place.
With the 12 team it's a lot more forgiving than years past though.

The truth is USC is the best team in the conference and won't get a shot

I’m sure Bama fans are now all for punishing conf champ game losers
