Can't blame LSU fans for cheering for Notre Dame

We are their biggest rival and biggest roadblock each year to the SECCG and the BCSCG. We recruit head to head. Bama winning 3 out of 4 NCs hurts LSU in national reputation and in recruiting.
Hell I remember us Bama fans pulling for Oregon over AU. And many of us will pull for Clemson over LSU. It is what it is my fellow Bama fans. No need to get butthurt over it. Just enjoy the fact we are getting to play for all the marbles again.

Agree. No hate here.
The only thing that baffles me is how a fanbase with so much passion - SO much hate for Bama - could have gone this long without a decent rival.

Logically, the SEC loyalty used to have a benefit to all SEC teams, because a variety of SEC teams winning the national title gave everyone the knowledge that the SEC champions would get the benefit of the doubt even with a loss and would get into the national championship game in any given season.
However, when one team begins to win the title over and over again, it doesn't benefit the conference. The "benefit of the doubt" advantage this gives us is outweighed by the recruiting advantage gained by said program over the long term.
In short, I'm rooting for Notre Dame because frick SEC loyalty, Auburn has so much to lose by Alabama winning as much as they do.

You are delusional....Look at the recruiting ratings over on Rivals...Where is LSU and Where is Bama? You are not hurting our recruiting. I always cheer for conference teams in bowl season. However, with these Bama folks so hung up on LSU--a team you were fortunate to beat--I may have to reconsider, but who the hell cares who I pull for?
