Do you mean like Ole Miss rushing the field after beating Georgia?
Or perhaps Alabama winning a meaningless regular season game in September then losing 3 of the next 6.

You know why you mentioned Ole Miss?

Because Alabama sure as frick didn't rush the field after beating you.

Nobody is blaming you for your schedule, it's just the reality. It wasn't Alabama's fault when FSU started the season #3 and then lost their starting QB in the game and finished unranked. But you still don't get credit for it. Next year who knows what kind of opponent FSU will provide. Good when scheduled, shite this year. Wisconsin was a ranked team when scheduled, not so great this year. It's not in a vacuum. When you reward a team for a weak SoS(not talking Texas here really, just in general) you are punishing the teams that played the tougher games. It might not be their fault, but it's the reality. Is it Oklahoma, Georgia and Florida's fault they played an extremely difficult schedule

I get your point and don’t disagree. But I think the OP’s point was that everyone has been whining about schedules all year (especially Texas’s) and all you can do is play what’s in front of you (and Georgia did and beat us twice, so nothing to complain about, just win the games).

With 12-16 teams though it’s impossible ensure a a balanced schedule for everyone year to year.

Anyway (and as OP alluded to) if anyone 3 years ago looked at Texas’s schedule for 2024 and saw Michigan, Georgia, Florida, OU (rival) and A&M and Arkansas on the road (both rivals) they’d say it’s a legit schedule. Again, if anyone not named Georgia can’t win the games, not Texas’s fault.

How high on a level from 0 to pretending the other team considers you their super bowl because you lost?

So Oklahoma and Arkansas are the two border state rivals, you only referenced one ...

I don't really recall the SWC. I guess it was something.

My point is just win your games.

The majority of people talking about Texas's schedule was in response to Texas fans over stating their accomplishments.

They had the weakest regular schedule of every SEC team.

It's just a fact, no need to cry.

And yet we beat all these other mid teams everyone else lost to

You Bammers should really lay off Texas. You will suck even worse next year, and it has nothing to do with Texas.

It's not possible to play a weak schedule in the SEC. The SEC plays the best football.

The mature way of looking at it is that their schedule was softer than baby shite this year but your team will likely be getting one of these red carpets to the SECCG at some point. At least they took their free bid to the playoffs instead of fumbling it.

Scheduling structure of college football is not built to handle conferences this large. Texas, SMU, Penn State, and Indiana are great examples in year 1 of how silly its going to be until CFB reaches its final form as some sort of NFL-like semi-pro league.

It was one of the weaker SEC schedules this season, but it was still a tougher schedule than almost every other playoff team not in the SEC. I think Ohio St schedule was slightly tougher

Also blew out LSU in Baton Rouge at night. Something I was told is extremely difficult. Not so much that night though.
