Or do we have to wait for them to definitely cost bama another game. Even you gumps have to agree the refs are just shite. They didn’t even know what freaking down it was, and they made shitty call, shite review, completely missed easy calls, were generally bozo the clown without anything funny.

I have lived long enough to remember when we had the best refs in College Football.

Probably no much can be done this year but it’s past time this be fixed. They are so shitty they other conferences don’t even want them calling a playoff game. With the playoff expansion coming we need properly officiated games.

Enough of did you see refs from this conference, they suck too? We are the ducking SEC mfers. First of all we all have TVs and they aren’t as bad. Secondly, we are The lords of college football, we should have the best and be ok with they suck too.

It’s time for serious fricking change

The most game altering non call was when Bama had 3rd and goal in the 3rd qtr. And Bryce young called TO bc he was confused. Go back and look at the replay. Tennessee had 12 men on the field and no one saw it and the booth never even mentioned it

The the most game altering call was called again TENN on the pass interference that wasn’t on 4th down. Gifted a TD

First step is to get them off the REC payroll. Then real reforms can begin.

The 2 minute review when he was clearly 2 yards short of the first down was just pitiful.

It’s not a penalty until you snap it dumbass.

The refs are under no obligation to call a penalty that might happen though I’m sure you are used to it as a bama fan

There were a shite ton of bad calls and poor officiating.

That said, Bama still had their chances to win and failed to capitalize on opportunities throughout the game. So, I won't take anything away from UTk.

Great win for them. Every player on the field competed hard and UT won plain and simple. Great game. One of the more enjoyable ones I've watched in a while, win or lose. Loved seeing the respect between players.

Hope to see them again in ATL.

The actual rule says "when the snap is imminent."

Tennessee kicked Alabama's arse up and down the field yesterday. The refs didn't cost anyone the game.

Zero consistency from them either. They would let the OL push the pile for 4-5 yards with no whistle and blow the next one dead the second he got stood up.

They weren't reviewing the line to gain. They were reviewing whether or not it was actually 4th down.

Well there was no imminent snap if y’all called time out.

Good job by the refs

Which is even worse

Refs are so much worse across all conferences compared to 10 years ago. It's incredible and I don't have an explanation for it, but it's definitely a trend

It's funny that people actually believe the REC really is some powerful organization.

Eh. I don't have any faith that this crew would have thrown a flag if a play had been run. It took a five minute review for them to count to 4. God knows what it would have taken for them to get all the way to 12.

Part of it is the refs and part of it are the number of awful and utterly subjective rules that exist now that didn’t exist 20 years ago.

Refs are shite in college and the nfl and have been for years and I’ve said it for years. There is a simple solution to it. Have a sky ref that can overturn or call any penalty immediately or after watching replay up till the ball is snapped. IDK why this simple solution isn’t used

I’m not going to say anything about any of the penalties as I don’t want to appear to be making excuses for Alabama, but it was inexcusable for them to lose track of what down it was yesterday and then have to spend 10 minutes reviewing it to figure it out. Refs in a premier Division 1 college football conference should not let that happen.

I understand making calls at game speed is difficult but the sheer number of reviews, plus all the commercials, is flow and momentum killing for both teams. The 4th down debacle should result in some firings. You don't see that shite in Pee Wee and Pop Warner football.
