That's a generous way to describe it.

if ND wins that makes brian kelly look bad. so LSU wants them to lose and bama wants them to win. very simple

I don't see how anyone who is older can pull for them.
I've attended three bowl games and several others with ND as The Tide's opponent, and the ND fans that I encountered have been extremely friendly, polite, and complimentary of Alabama and its football history. They were also very knowledgeable about our program.
Long story made short.....I was impressed with them as a fanbase.

Most older Tide fans remember the many important games between the two "blue-bloods" in the past, and BOTH sides have shown each other the respect that each program deserves. Both sides realize that they are together in the "rarified air" of the programs known as the elite of college football.
By the way, the same relationship applies to the Penn St. fans.

Not my experience with Notre Dame fans at the 2013 NC in Miami. While they were nice people, a lot of them were very arrogant and actually believed Notre Dame was going to win by multiple scores. They kept talking about the Notre Dame "mystic". LOL, they were so delusional.

Seriously. The only dick this board should be obsessing about is Joe Burrow's!

Is a national championship game appearance not more of an accomplishment than a BCS/NY6 bowl win?

I think winning is success.

But that's just me.

I hadn't considered people being nice to you in front of your face.

That completely changes the history here.

If you think winning a NY6/BCS bowl trumps a national championship game appearance then that's certainly an opinion, I guess.

Check out the 60's and 70's.

They were anything but nice. Alabama was scum to them, and we kept losing to them in big games and it made it much worse.

We were 1-5 against them until 2012 and that first win didn't come until 1986. And it wasn't just random games, it was games where the national championship was on the line. That 2012 game was so damn satisfying.

I don't know what the frick history "older fans" had, I guess mine was completely different.

The entire reason we claim that 1941 title and other titles was because of Notre Dame.

Because it would be hilarious if Marcus Freeman wins a championship with the program your murderous coach left behind.

Ahhhhh yes... the Deboer made to a natty game. bama us that and praise him, even though he lost but they laugh at BK because he lost a natty game. I saw those crimson colored glass in a Taco Bell kids meal.

Bama fans would respect and admire Sandusky university.
