I think it can jump start and give a program some serious momentum, but not change a program.

The 2001 SEC Championship Game ruined Tennessee's program. They haven't recovered since.

2001 UGA-UTk

That game sparked the resurgence of the UGA program. We've been in the top half of the conference since.

Blackout Game didn't necessarily change the program in the sense that i knocked us off track. But it did make the program reassess itself

Do you honestly believe that JFF would have won the Heisman with 3 losses?

Tebow and RG3 did.

That answer was already given on the first page, shitbird.

And no, it did not change LSU's program any more than the 2007 LSU-Florida game.

Agreed with 2001 UGA/Tenn.

I've seen two games in my lifetime that actually killed programs and neither one was an SEC team.

2001 #1 Nebraska went and got demolished at Colorado 62-36. An ugly arse kicking that Nebraska has never recovered from.

2007 #2 WVU needed a win at home over a 4-7 Pitt team that was a 28 point underdog to seal a trip to the national title game where they would have taken Ohio State behind the woodshed. Pitt stunned WVU 13-9 and that program has never recovered from that game.

They've won 2 BCS bowl games since then, both in dominant fashion.

Why? Because we've had one season since then and we only won ten games?

You're a worthless flamer, and a stupid bastard.

They were going to win a national title that season. Haven't been remotely close to it since and probably won't anytime soon.

There's no guarantee that they would've beaten OH St, and WV wasn't exactly a power before then.

Y'all went from being in the BCS title game to the Chicken Bowl.

Arkansas played over their heads Saturday with the bats. They are not as good as they played.

I still cant believe that 2010 Bama team lost three games. That has to be the most talented three loss team in history.

aw man, I just realized, with Mal gone, that book he was going to write about getting Saban will never be written... bummer (I can guess though, hey, nick, how'd you like a blank check and unlimited power? sign here.)

I think if we beat Tennessee in 98, we would have won out. The players felt the same way, instead, we lost out.

That same season, had we beaten Texas, and had Mississippi State beaten Tennessee, we would have had the rematch against Florida State for the title.
