To pull off the upset Saturday Night.. I don't think they will be able to line up and run the ball straight at Alabama like they did Ole Miss. Jennings will have to make some plays through the air for them to pull off the upset.

The same could be asked of Bama.

I'm having flashbacks of the week leading up to the 2012 game on here. I remember the many "will Mett throw his first SEC touchdown?" threads.

Conventional wisdom says no but, there will be production from some unlikely sources,IMO.

I think AJ having two weeks to prepare will help greatly.... I expect to see him have some success throwing the ball tomorrow night. Cam knows we won't be able to run it straight at them all night long, although that will still be our main goal for most of the game.

Alabama is t-11th in the country in yards per game They'll be ok.

Can bama muster enough offense is a valid question, as well. On the road, versus SEC West foes, bama is only averaging 15.5 points per game. This is not the same LSU defense that MSU and AU faced. LSU's best offense may be its defense in this game.

I agree. I actually think you'll see LSU's best passing output of the year tomorrow because their game plan is going to involve more passing than anybody on here seems to think.

Didn't realize points were awarded according to how many yards were gained.

Interesting

I remember this thread from before the OM game....

Will LSU be able to force Bama into man coverage in the secondary to stop the Tigers' running game?

If so, I think Jennings can be productive passing the ball.

Actually 12 for their offense. One of those touchdowns in the Ole Miss game was a fumble recovery taken to the house after a botched facemask call.

So Bama's offense put up 14 on Arky and 10 on Ole Miss on the road.

It's a fair point, although I don't know why you'd limit it to only the West just because it helps your point. Alabama did have 396 yards of offense in Oxford. It was enough to win. We'll certainly have to finish drives better than we did that day though, and make kicks that we missed when we don't finish them with touchdowns.

OP didn't mention points, but obviously yards gained lead to points. Yards gained also are a great show of ball and game control.

It's difficult to imagine LSU scoring more than 17.....not bama, but hell....you never know.
