Sorry Rebs, but that is the truth.

Saban left on bad terms and he retired.

Except he’s really not.
LSU is built for big personalities.
They love their football but they love to make a good time of it, too.
Lane will be a turd in the punchbowl, personality wise.
But Saban wasn’t a dynamic personality either.

I'm not sure who's dumber.

LSU for hiring him and paying $16 million(if true), or Lane believing LSU is actually going to honor the contract

How could you downvote this?

The guy is just off, amiright?

LSU will not let Kiffin get away with a huge buyout. He won't be able to burn LSU to the ground because of the way LSU treated Kelly. If LSU fires Kiffin in about 4 years, he will be treated no different than the way LSU is treated Kelly right now after being fired.

Is it really Lane or the system developed by ESPN, Jimmie Sexton, and now NIL?

If you build a system 99% about “the money” don’t get surprised when a man doesn’t care about the 1% on loyalty and ethics

And allow him to recruit all these kids to his next job, which will be a team we play next season?

What’s to stop him from doing that anyway?

If this thread is any indication, Kiffin is going to surprise a lot of people if he chooses to remain at Ole Miss …. at least, for this hiring cycle.

You think he will pull a Lincoln Riley, come to the team five minutes before his jet departs , crying, saying he just decided 5 minutes ago, and by the way all the starters have a spot on my new team?

Lane won’t do that….

Or he could have done what Elko did to Duke and the Duke players when he went to A&M.

Now that was genuinely shitty and no one seems to care about that…

I mean he’s left every job he’s ever had on bad terms and yet each new fanbase is still shocked when he does it to them. Its truly baffling.

This. I remember OM fans defending this clown when others were warning them. He's kinda like a devil, woes you with charm then sends your program to hell. Then leaves with a suitcase full of cash.

ETHICS MATTER !!!!! Always.

Everything is about Lane, always and forever. He's a selfish prick. He is what he is.

Why should it being a "business decision" trump ethics. As a rule unethical business do not endure unless they are in a low competition environment such as a monopoly or an oligopoly. College football teams usually do not fit that profile, usually.
