also, i would think gus needs at least one more year after this to 'easily' land an oc job making 1-1.5 mil. his offense is pathetic this season, if nothing else it shows he may can only do well with a specific type of qb. that's not extremely enticing.

Given how they treated Chizik, who actually won a NC, I can't imagine a reason other than the buyout for them to keep Malzhan on staff... maybe he bought a year by bringing on Muschamp....?

CGC wasn't fired for 3-9. If it had only been the record he would have been given another shot. His 8-5 in 2011 included blow out losses to LSU, UGA and Bama. In that sense it was worse than last years 8-5 for Gus. Still I don't believe CGC gets fired if the program hadn't just completely gone of the rails. He would have been on a short leash in 2013 with improvement needed and competitive games.
Gus and this team are still fighting and showing improvement. But keep on thinking what you want, it is your right to be wrong if you choose.
