What are you AU folks going to do if Cam gets taken up out the game by a Chattanooga player?

We'll see if they can even tackle him first.

I think this is the week they get exposed. I have them losing by 14.

Sorry nobody has posted that this week yet.

Off a "What if Cam goes Pro" thread. Most Auburn posters seem to believe that if Cam does go to the NFL that Trotter is good enough that Auburn wont miss a beat or miss Cam.

Is Trotter that talented of a runner? I thought he was a drop back passer?

He's obviously not as talented at Cam. I doubt you ever read anybody suggest anything close to that. Like all teams that have great players, when they leave, there's some dropoff...that's not unique, or uncommon to football. The offense will go back to being much less option, and much more balanced run/PA Pass. How good Trotter will be as a full time starter is anybody's guess. If you think you've uncovered something super secret in there being a dropoff after Cam, well then, ok.

You think a UTC player is looking to hurt Cam intentionally?

No.. But it is football.. Anything can happen. I doubt it will, but it's a fun little game I like to play called, 'What the frick would happen?'

Obviously he is not Cam...but he is not a drop back passer. His HS ran a similar spread offense to what AU runs.

Thank you I know that.

I was letting the MSU fan know that they wouldn't be running the score against a FBS school because Chatty is a 1-AA school.

How do you know this? I must of missed his meaningful game snaps. That statement is just as dumb as Bama fans that know AJ is better than GMac. We think he might be, but have nothing but a few mop up possessions to go by.

True enough. I would have to think he could be every bit the QB Todd was, which, if you're being objective, wasn't bad. And Trotter is a bit more mobile, though I don't think he's a real threat to be a true run threat QB at this level.

I don't know this. The question was in regards to what AU fans think. If it makes you feel better I will revise:

I think

He is better than Chris Todd because I have watched him play and he clearly is more athletic and has a stronger arm than Chris Todd and has made good decisions when given the opportunity to play. Since our O wasn't too bad with Todd at QB, I expect our O to be fine if Trotter is the QB.

Man, I hope we don't score 84, that would be retarded.

Any more than 50 points against a team that is not scoring is classless west-coast ball.

If CGC won't run the score up on LSU, he's damn sure not gonna do it to UT-C. It'll be in the 50's with 2nd and 3rd teamers playing the entire 2nd half.

I am ok scoring 84 as long as no starter plays in the second half and we are running base plays to get back-ups experience (no double reverse Neil Caudle bombs for TDs).

So do we start taking a knee in the 3rd qtr? How do you tell scrubs not to shine if they get the chance??

No shite. If Fannin and Hooper and Trooter and Caudle are in...play them. It is their job to stop us.
