As good as Clemson is in baseball, they have never been in the championship game/series. South Carolina has six times.

I agree... Some very fun series between OM and LSU between 2000 and 2010.
Ole Miss and Vandy had an intense rivalry spring up while they had Alvarez, De la Osa, Price, Weathers etc. and we sported guys like Cozart, Lynn, Irwin and Coughlan... Unfortunately, Vandy left our program behind... As did several other SEC programs.

LSU-State, while likely not as meaningful to the fans as South Carolina-Clemson due to the in-state factor, has been significant for a long time.

Long Beach State (Dirtbags) and Cal State Fullerton used to be a big baseball rivalry, not sure how big it is today though.

LSU vs State in the 80s and 90s was the shite. Was some of the best series I've ever been to, Bertman vs Polk was great for College Baseball.
not into baseball, but i do remember the lsu/state games in the late 80s/90s ...
would love to go to omaha one year just for the environment, with/without bama ...
