Non conference should be considered. Injuries shouldn’t. My point is you have a conference, you play each other and have a rankings based on wins and losses based on common opponents. That should mean something regarding your ranking as a team. Otherwise what’s the point of watching conference play. Just watch the OOC in first month if it’s the decider.

I think the thing to remember here is that, more than likely, behind the scenes, TV execs are calling the shots. Do you really think that television networks are going to fork over a billion dollars a year and not have any say in the content that they've agreed to broadcast? A UT/A&M game could easily be the biggest TV draw of the 2nd round. It's futile to think that tournament seedings are based only on merit. Of course they should be, but they aren't. Sad but true.

I don’t have anything against A&M. Good school, mostly cool fans. But regardless of my opinion of them, it’s messed up that they were seeded so low when their body of work should have gotten them ranked higher.
