In lawless Louisiana what exactly should the punishment be, criminally speaking?

As for me, I hope both are dismissed just for the stupidity of it.

Link to where they've gotten any special treatment thus far?

You might want to review the other threads where preople for that part of Louisania say this DA almost always pleads these type of cases down. You might also want to check the court docket, where you would learn they haven't faced a judge yet either.

You want them to get 'special' treatment alright. You want them slammed because they play for Alabama.

They should be treated as anyone else in this situation would be treated and by all indications that is exactly what has happened thus far.

According to the report, the pair of players had been shooting guns at a range earlier that night but did not take them home.

After I go to the range, I always keep my gun in my lap for several hours and ride around - which is where the policemen said he saw Hootie's gun.

Just let the police know which range it was and have them verify. Easy enough.

Robinson reportedly bought the gun a year ago, did not know it was stolen but never got it registered.

Just let the police know who you bought it from and have them verify. Again, easy enough.

"I don't remember" shouldn't be acceptable as an answer for either though.

You think that kids routinely get out of felony weapon/drug charges in Louisiana?

No.. sorry, but Louisiana locks people up for life for repeat non-violent drug possession offences without weapons.
