To take tebow out of this I would pick VY over cam Newton and twice on Sunday's. I mean VY beat a team containing 2 Heisman winners on the biggest stage of them all almost single-handily. Also, Cam Newton tried his best to give the game away to Oregon that night.

I disagree with that. I think some people in this thread are very young. There have been some amazing seasons in college football.

37% of Auburn's rushing and 48% of Rushing TD's
95% of passing yards and 97% of Passing TD's
2007 Tebow - 55 TD's / 4181 yds of offense
34% of Fla's rushing and 59% of Rushing TD's
98% of passing yards and 100% of Passing TD's
less than 200 yds of total offense, 5 td's difference and nearly equal in % of production. All things being equal, Cam isn't better. There have been other players on the same level also. This doesn't take away from how good he was, but he was by no means, the best ever.

I never said cam wasn't great because he was, but by no means was he the best. Is Tebow the greatest ever, I don't know. I would put him in the discussion though.

People have a tendency to proclaim the most recent big thing the best ever. It is rarely true, but no one ever learns.

In the first half of games cam was helping his Dad count money between possessions so he was distracted, not his fault.

Again, if you're going to take Heisman years into account, make sure to include that Cam won a NC with less playmakers and a worse defense.

Cam only had one year to account for, so I took Tebows best year also. Get over your insecurities. Cam was a great player. He isn't the greatest of all time. There are ALOT of others that are on the same level, maybe a few over it.

This is butthurt. Noone is in here flaming Tebows imperfections.
That being said, Cam isn't the best ever, but he was better than Tebow and if I had to pick it would definitely be Cam
