I dont think its a great hire, but a good one considering stud was just in over his head. I was really hoping for Chan Gailey.

seems familar to LSU fans last year with another supposed upgrade. All I am saying is wait till he produces on the field until claiming an "upgrade" and getting your hopes up

you do realize our last "upgrade" wasn't able to fully perform his duties because he was diagnosed with Parkinsons? or are you talking about the QB?

I guess it depends on how much of a micro-manager Miles is and how much of the offense is his own.

I wouldnt say #10 is a whole tier above it. And I was just merely pointing out top 10 or 16 is a great stat, but not when its a class of 32

#10 in the NFL means you have a pretty competent offense. Keep in mind, these are long averages over several years at each OC job. Most NFL teams would love to be in the top third of offense in the NFL almost every season. #16 is right in the middle of the pack, I mean, like you said, 16/32. He wasn't a bad or mediocre OC by any shape of the imagination in the NFL, no idea why people think this isn't a huge upgrade over a college OL coach coaching our offense to the lower third of CFB.

Huh? What are you even talking about?

There is a difference between optimism and fantasy.

Do you have ANY clue where we're coming from? An OL coach has been our OC the last 2 season and we've been in the bottom 1/3 of CFB in offense. Cam Cameron is a GIGANTIC upgrade.

I mean yea, but that O-line coach also had a great offense two years ago pre-national championship.

So I'm guessing your line item expectations are.
1. QB gets better over the year.
2. Offense looks fluid and doesn't get in ruts like 2012.
3. You have confidence that you can score when you absolutely need to.

The thing is Mett did get better as the year went on and your offense looked damn good in 2011. The final point is what I'm guessing you're really looking for and that's my point. Don't believe that will happen.

Like I said, may be completely wrong.

An opinion on a message board that you don't necessarily agree with isn't really indicative of any level of intelligence. Trying to measure intelligence is one of the most arbitrary processes you can take part in.

Be happy and excited LSU fans, its the off-season.

Only place to go is up if Miles will let somebody do their own thing. Problem is, we have been saying this year after year

Drew Brees himself gives a lot of credit to Cameron. You don't know what you're talking about. Let that sink in. LINK
