I mean the caller is trash. I don't particularly get a laugh out of it. But the host tries to steer it back to football and O literally talks over him and says "I just wanna say down in the bayou we got fishing holes for people like that".
Joking or not, you're the $8 million face of a multimillion dollar operation. Take the high road, ignore it and don't make a joke about throwing somebody in the swamp.

I tend to agree. Caller was a dick but the HC of LSU can’t respond that way.

That's the best part. Agree with it or not, he has a perception issue and we know from radio hosts and insiders that Woodward has spoken to him about it. Then he still does this. How dumb can you be?

He's been under enormous pressure lately and can't restrain the "meet you at Sonic" response even when around $20M is at stake

I saw some fan video on that on youtube. I couldn't tell if they were a local talk show or just a youtube team. They also claimed that someone recorded O out and about losing his shite and sent it to LSU's administration. This was before the season even began.

Can’t take the Goober out of O either. Why don’t y’all buy him one of those Goober Pyle crown hats. Despite being dumber than dirt Goober was at least a likeable person. O is not. Maybe the hat will help

You can play it off as a joke all you want, but the fact is, it was an implied death threat. On the official coach's show. You can't do that, not even in jest.
The fact that the "official recording" deletes that is evidence that some folks are aware of how bad that was, but the beauty of the internet is that nothing ever gets truly deleted. We see a local radio guy posting it, uncut.
