Phyllis got real sick a few years back. Everyone thought she died. She then returned a few years later, people weren't happy.

This. I spent over a week in Atlanta and the sports talk radio there was frickin awful.Give me Finebaum show all day over the boring personality devoid shows I heard that week.

Biggest homer shows anywhere. Buck and Belue, Chuck and Duck (or whoever) - awful. Nashville based shows are pretty good though.

me too, one time there was an Auburn fan can't remember his name was calling in and him and her got into a fight because he told her him and his friends were gonna visit the "Bear" statue the night before the game, gather around it drink a beer and sing a song. Then he began to sing "pissin on the Bear...." over and over. She went bat $hit crazy and I was laughing so hard I was crying driving down the road.

now THAT's the kind of stuff I enjoy about college football

Yeah, ATL radio sucks. Chuck and Chernoff are about the only ones I can listen to, and Chuck can get annoying as hell. Mike Bell was funny the first two months I listened, but his schtick has gotten old. I do like listening to Carlos Medina crunch numbers though.

The greatest day in Finebaum history was when he had "Shane from Centerpoint" (who went by "Mustang Shane" back then) and "Bobby from Homewood" in the studio together. Bobby got the best of Shane in verbal jabs and Shane got so mad he stormed out to his car. Out in the parking lot Vickers followed with a mic and was trying to get Shane to calm down and you could literally hear Shane burning his tires down in his Mustang storming out of the parking lot.
