Rohan, as usual you are on top the pulse of the SEC. tRant is fortunate to have you and Harry Rex to point out the right and wrong with all things others miss. You don’t let others pull the wool over our eyes.
Thanks for your hard work.
Your friend, Herman.

The SEC needs to step in.

I mean they could fine LSU fans but they have no money so I don't really see the point.

That does not matter, it's all about the TIMING of the calls. You should know that by now as many times as LSU folk have posted on here.

I thought Cal was pretty gracious in defeat give coach Wade and the players credit for how they played. Gained some respect for him last night. Kentucky is still a good team and now we know LSU is right there with them.

Wait, what?

Personal fouls were even at 17.

It was kind of the tale of two halves. LSU got called for a bunch of fouls early in the first half and Kentucky did in the second half. Kentucky was in the bonus with about 10 min to go in the first half and LSU with about 9 minutes to go in the second half. The only frustrating thing for me was they were seemingly letting both teams play physically, but called some really ticky tacky fouls at times in the game. Naz Reid just got the raw end of the deal, picked up a couple of cheap fouls early in the first half and has to sit, then picks up two hand check fouls early in the second half, so he was on the bench in foul trouble most of the game. Everyone saw how effective he is when he was in the game, but he was only able to play 20 minutes last night.

I also thought the hand check foul they called on Taylor with 6 seconds left in the game that allowed Kentucky to tie the game was pretty weak, but it happens.

But at the end of the day, both teams were called for 17 fouls. LSU shot 22 FTs to Kentucky's 23. If you looks at the box score, LSU and Kentucky were pretty damn even in everything. I'm sure Kentucky fans hate the game ended on a controversial call, but they're not really in any position to complain. But honestly, Kentucky simply got outplayed and out hustled in the second half. Can't do that against a good team and expect to win.

I do think they let Kentucky do a lot of grabbing on defense throughout the game, but if you know the refs are going to call the game that way, you have to adjust. But LSU just kept trying to drive with that going on and took a lot of poor shots in the lane early on, off balance and out of control instead of trying to move the ball around for uncontested shots. LSU made those adjustments in the second half and outscored Kentucky by 10.

I don't think there was any sort of egregious favoritism last night, but it is kind of a weak argument to generally say that if the total fouls are even that it was a fairly called game. Likewise, it's also a weak argument to say that if one team shoots a lot more foul shots than the other team that the refs were favoring the first team. Maybe the other team just committed more fouls.

Nah. He called out the absurdity that something like a charge can be reviewed but a crucial potential interference cannot. If it couldn’t be reviewed the refs should’ve never walked over to the monitor. And he credited Wade’s coaching and LSU’s play multiple times last night and after.

It was not lopsided officiating in UK's favor.

Nah

Didn't he walk off the court before congratulating LSU's coach?

That's embarrassing.

There's something else that can be reviewed, the time. They checked the monitor to see if the tip in was before the final horn - which the review verified that it was.

The stories evolving are cracking me up. By midnight it’ll be Cal punched Tremont Waters in the face in the handshake line and EJ broke three backboards trying to disrupt the last shot.
