The hype far exceeds Young's abilities. He really was not very good the other day. That is not a knock on him, but he is not Heisman material yet.
His Oline will neither allow him time to throw, nor establish a run game that would help his passing!
He's doing most of all this on his own!

Very shortsighted, in a game like that where his line was totally dominated and he never flinched, looked rushed, panicky, or anything. The guy just kept working and won the game. He showed more of how elite he is in the Auburn game than Stroud did in his loss to MI.
Sacked 7 times and hurried 8, and he was fricking cool as ice, and it pisses me off too. Frick him.

You think Pickett has a stronger supporting cast at Pitt than Young has at Bama. Really?
Yes I do. Pickett's OLine has protected hum better than Alabama's Oline protects Bryce.
From the rankings: Sacks against Pittsburgh 62nd nationally
Alabama 112th.
Also, Bryce does not have the luxury of handing off to a Najee Harris or Josh Jacobs. He's handing the ball to Brian Robinson who's a solid back but definitely won't be a first or second day draft pick.
Bryce has one really dynamic WR in Williams and one solid but not explosive playmaker in Metchie.
All of this and when you compare competition between the teams, I would say Pickett has a better supporting cast.

Haven’t been paying much attention to Heisman but seems Matt Corral - Ole Miss is by far the most dynamic player this year…Bryce Young has been Meh in the big games…what am I missing here?

Auburn fans ,besides the psycho one, are much more complimentary than JeaLSU. It’s amazing how eaten up with envy they are

I actually did think he got a little flustered in the 2nd qtr and early 3rd. He started zeroing in on 1 or 2 guys, too, and missed some open throws. But once he got protected for about a series or so in the mid-3rd he seemed to get back into the zone.

How dynamic was Coral in Auburn? Or in Tuscaloosa against Alabama? His stats have been "meh".

Bryce Young is the next Kyler Murray. Bank it.
And . . . the next Saints QB in two years unless Tua gets traded to N.O. Better start liking them now bro.

It is literally impossible for them to have any semblance of objectivity when it comes to Alabama players.

Meh, he had to go with his first 1 or two because of the pressure forced it, but he never showed real panic or frustration when he didn't connect. He got right back at it the next play. I never saw him lose it with the line, kept picking himself up and moving along.
His poise is on another level.

Bryce deserves it. He has a revolving door at RT and never gave up this season.

Not to split hairs but I'm showing Young at 3901 yards from ESPN.

Yep hes not legit worthy for sure. Ive said it all year entire product is shite.

I'm amazed that is your takeaway. He was under constant pressure and had little time to do anything. Most other QBs would have probably folded. He was rattled but came back to make the plays when they counted. Only an LSU fan (or Iron Puppet) would come up with this hot take.
The Heisman is for the best player in college football. The best player in college football does not get rattled. Seriously, gumps do this all the time. Tua was the greatest, now Young is the greatest. I would say he is an above average QB, but is not the best player in college football.

Oh yea - 100%. His level of calm and cool, especially the way he expresses emotions, is off the charts for anybody, but especially for a Sophomore in his first year starting. He easily could have acted like a petulant child about how often he's gotten hit this year. He hasn't reacted in a negative way about it once. The only frustration I've seen out of him all year was in the Tennessee game when he had 1-2 bad series where he missed some throws (that was the Saban talking to him on the sidelines event).
He's very easy to root for.

Please. In any other season other than 2019, yall would give your left nut for 40 tds, 4 ints, 3900 yards, and a 69% completion percentage through 12 games
Plus, a signature drive (97 yds, no time outs with 1:27 on the clock without WR1 (SEC WR leader), a jumbled OL that had been abused all game, and a RB that was RB4 to start the season) vs your rival in one of the most hostile, voodoo infested venues in all of CFB.
He may not win it, but he won't be undeserving if he does.

I would say your take away is completely biased but then again LSLoser fans do this all the time and should be expected.
