This thread is amazing. You've got Bama's biggest and most hated rival giving kudos to Young, and then you have JeaLSU shitting all over the kid like he is a complete shite quarterback.

Never change corndogs, never change.

That being said, I would vote for Pickett. He's single-handedly brought Pittsburgh to a 10-win season. Pittsburgh.

Pitt has a chance to win 11 games for the first time since 1981.

I mean the same could be said for Corral and Ole Miss. And this could be the first 11 win season in school history.

Apparently most of it

Bama could play a corpse at QB and still win the West…Corral is the only reason Ole Miss has won 10 games this year…he is a far more versatile QB and team leader…Young is one of the weakest Bama QBs I’ve seen in years…just saying.

Right. And Bryce doesn't get rattled. That's what literally everyone in this thread is talking about.

Like I said, you apparently missed most of it.

If Bryce Young had been injured in Week 1 and we had been forced to play our backup QB this season Alabama would have gone 7-5 or 6-6. That's an absolute fact. We lose to Florida, A&M, Tennessee, LSU, Arkansas and Auburn. We possibly lose to Ole Miss. Our offense would have looked like Clemson's - bad OL, no running game, QB with no ability to make up for those issues.

I mean, he's not, and he's playing with the weakest supporting cast (especially up front) that any Alabama QB has played with in a decade. He's in the top 5 in every passing category. And, on top of that, he's basically won the last 2 games all by himself while making pretty much every throw on the run or seconds before getting pounded into dust.

But other than that, he's just game managin'!

Tell me you haven't watched a single Bama game this year, or hell even bother to read any stats, without telling me you haven't watched a single Bama game.

What a shite take.

You would think that a Clemson fan of all people would understand that offenses, even at the highest level, are not the exact same every season. Especially when the OL can't block and you can't run the ball.

Both teams had basically the exact same issues offensively. One team had Bryce Young. The other team had DJ.

Bryce is one of the best quarterbacks in the country. He is as deserving of it as anyone.

It's astounding. These motherfrickers would rather go on a football forum and make it look for all the world like they don't know anything about the game than give a player credit — based on nothing but who he plays for.

Never been a better year to give it to a defensive player. Will Anderson is the best player in CFB at his respective position

I don't necessarily disagree. But, naturally the anti-SEC vote has automatically promoted Aidan Hutchinson to the top of the odds list for defensive players ahead of Davis and Anderson in spite of Hutchinson trailing Anderson in sacks, tackles, and TFLs.

We would have lost to Florida, LSU, Arky, and Auburn with DJ Vowels under center. Possibly one or two other games. Clemson winning 9 games with him is a testament to both Venables sign thievery skills and the abomination of a conference that is the ACC.

I would say your take away is completely biased but then again LSLoser fans do this all the time and should be expected.

Bias, maybe. But, I think Tua was better than Young at the same point in their career. That is not to say Young will not develop and get better, but Heisman, nah, I do not think so.

I mean, it's just wild. Nobody can or would argue that Alabama with one of our backup QBs wins the following games
- Florida
- Texas A&M
- Tennessee
- LSU
- Arkansas
- Auburn

Absolutely zero shot. So basically, without Bryce, we go from 11-1 to 6-6. Add in any other QB in America instead of Bryce........and the best you can say is......we go 11-1.

Just idiotic arguments in here re: Bryce being some sort of same ole same ole.

I watched the aTm and Auburn games and he was mediocre…I’m sure he lit it up vs other BlueBloods like Mercer, USM and New Mexico State…

That can be said for most teams. With a healthy Nix AU wins three more games. It is a QB game today and all the high rank teams depend on their QB playing well. UGA might be the one exception because of their D.

53/99 (54%)
6.93 YPA
343 YPG
5 TD / 2 INT

He was pressured on 39 of 78 drop backs in those 2 games (50%) and sacked 11 times.

without the typical playmakers and the worst OL since injuries riddled the 2010 squad, he owns the Bama record for most pass yds in a debut, single game passing game, and most 300+ yd games in a regular season. Likely some other stats out there, but he has played very well. It has been a long time since Bama has asked a QB to actually WIN for them.

The kid is special. That IB drive will live in series history.
