It’s absolutely hilarious anytime an Auburn fan complains about a recruit getting paid.

Seems to say they think the current coach (again) is a loser and even the money doesnt motivate them to sign with the barn. That has to sting.

Nick Saban made Julio Jones one promise:

"We're going to win with or without you."

And the rest is history.

This isn't even a remotely intelligent comment. Nick Saban himself admitted that Bryce was practically an NIL millionaire...legally...before he set foot on campus. Just because the best Auburn could do was have Milo's Tea throw a few dollars at a QB who isn't even in your program now, don't be mad at Alabama.

Nice Saban is a straight shooter. Wish the rest of the world was that way.

NIL wasn’t approved until summer 2021.

what's the difference. Because at times, both sides are full of it.

And that, boys and girls, is the difference between LSU and Alabama

Saban is definitely known for developing QBs who excel in the NFL.

Wait...

All we care is they excel at winning titles here and making L2U fans melt and they are beyond great at that.

Oh and the barners get butthurt too since we take our pick and they get the scraps.

Auburn went on probation for giving a kid $100 to buy groceries.

Bama "rents" estates for players, moves their entire family to big nice new homes, hides recruits with boosters at the beach to keep them from visiting other schools, has been doing NIL long before NIL was a thing with car dealerships, mall clothing stores, hubcap retailers, etc. and the NCAA, state press, national press doesn't bat an eye.

Before you invoke the obligatory "Cam Newton" card, we spent most of that season under NCAA investigation for that. When was the last time the NCAA even glanced in bama's direction?

I'm sure Nick and his buddies in the NCAA head office are already working out a way to "adjust" this NIL business to protect their "recruiting advantages", but I am enjoying seeing them get even the tiniest dose of their own medicine.

Which is why A&M just won . Now that you can openly pay players LSU and Bama are in trouble . Sorry it’s just the truth. I know Bama thinks they are this and that but you don’t have the alumni numbers or alumni money to compete with the schools that’s have such large enrollments

Then it’s no big deal because if there are only 3 or 4 teams that can compete college football won’t be for long anyway.

Alabama has more NFL quarterbacks that LSU does and Most media sources indicate that Mac Jones is the likely 1st team all NFL rookie team.

Think your missing the point. It’s clear with NIL that kids go for the money first. Not because he’s going to get me in the NFL or blah blah. Anytime a 5 star agrees to a backup role for 3yrs, it’s because he’s getting paid big time or mom and dad are…

Saban landed like 14 #1 recruiting classes without a single investigation into paying players even though there were Yahoo reports etc. Dude has a boy in charge of NCAA and has luxury of no rules apply to Bama. How do you ever lose a game with 14 #1 recruiting classes? Anybody could win at Bama with those players. As pointed out by Spurrier years ago

Odd for a supposed basketball school to be worried about Bama football recruting.

As odd as a football school being openly jealous over how successful Auburn basketball has become?
