Bryan Harsin declined again to discuss his vaccination status, even as a deadline looms following an Auburn University mandate for all employees.

Auburn announced on Friday that all university employees will be required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 by Dec. 8 or else be subject to termination. Harsin, who previously declined to disclose his vaccination status at SEC Media Days in July, when he said it was a deeply personal decision for everyone, was asked again Monday during his weekly press conference whether he has received the vaccine and, if not, whether he plans to comply with the school’s mandate prior to the deadline.

Auburn considers someone to be fully vaccinated two weeks after they have received the second dose of a two-dose series or two weeks after receiving a one-dose shot.

“I’m aware of the new policy,” Harsin said. “I appreciate you have to ask the question and understand it, but it doesn’t change -- I mean, the executive order, all those things, it doesn’t change the fact I’m not going to discuss any individual’s decision or status on the vaccine or anyone else’s, including my own, like I said before.”

He declines to answer the question any time it is asked of him. Nothing new.

He gone.

Fire up the plane tracker.

Get Jimmy Rane’s whereabouts ASAP.

But seriously, the media is going to give him non-stop shite about this, and I wish they’d just STFU about it and let him decide what’s best for him and his team.

Harsin has snake venom in his veins Covid can't hurt him.

Harsin has survived 5 bites by a timber rattlesnake.

I respect his answer. But you know Auburn isn't going to fire him over this.

So this is about the University's mandate then. Is this protocol tits on a bull or do they take it as seriously as Oregon State?

Might be my follow-up question.

As hard as it is to say anything good about a Barn coach, I must say right now that Bryan Harsin is Da Man standing up to Da Man. Keep right on keepin' on wid yo bad self, brother.

good article on Nick Rolovich's firing from Washington State

I hope he ends up better than Nick. I can't believe this is cause for firing (and getting out of a buyout).

Exactly, he is not discussing it with reporters. He may or may not discuss it with HR.

Both AU and UA are doing it because Biden mandated it for government contractors including universities and such that get research funding. Multiple states have announced their intention to sue and I am sure they will succeed in getting a TRO. This won’t really be an issue at Bama or Auburn until next year at the earliest.

I wish he'd turn it around on a reporter one time and ask them when's the last time they got a penicillin shot.
