Is AU a little brother to Bama in BB? If so, big brother is watching little brother’s big success while he is still working at the factory.Like watching the movie Rudy.

Let me see if I can understand the gist of the OP, along with the scattered posts of AU and LSU fans:

Alabama has won national championships in football in 2009, 2011, 2012, 2015, and 2017, along with national championships in men's golf in 2013 and 2014, women's golf in 2012, softball in 2012, and gymnastics in 2011 and 2012.

In the same time span, Auburn won national championships in football in 2010 and men's swimming/diving in 2009.

Yet for some reason, Alabama fans are supposedly crazed with envy because Auburn made a semifinal appearance in a sport other than football.

Does that pretty much sum it up?

Attendance issues at Auburn haven't been limited to basketball.

In 2009, I watched Greg McElroy hit Roy Upchurch with that game-winning pass, right in front of me as I and my three buddies sat in my lower bowl endzone seats...season tickets I had bought right off the Auburn website...with no donation required and no waiting list. Even in the dark days of Shula, no Auburn fan would have been able to do the same at Alabama.

I did the same. Bought a "six-pack" for less than $500 and got two other SEC games - Ole Miss and ? I gave away all of the other game tickets and kept the Iron Bowl tickets.

Bruce followed up his best season at Tennessee with 19-15, a 30 pt loss to Michigan and a firing after NCAA issues blewup.

Lose 3 leading scorers, 2 best shooters and the hearts of the team. 2020 will be interesting.

AU will have one of the more experienced teams in the SEC coming back along with some very good Freshman. They will be a Top 10 teams starting the season.

That's fine, let's just not start inventing things though.

They key to attendance is putting a product on the court that people want to see. AU didn't have a problem with attendance when Sonny had a good team, same with Cliff Ellis. The other "jelly of the Month" coaches they hired contributed to low attendance. Something Bama fans know very well from the past and fear for the future.

I knew this was what you meant...and that does cover a lot of the fanbase. Of course. a loss in football doesn't ruin my week either.

The fact that there are 38K Students and that Bama has a ticket priority system that places those who buy both Football and Basketball season tickets higher on the list, doesn't counter his argument. What is the actual attendance like at Coleman ?

I can go back to Saturday night and do an updyke threadcount that shows you do care.

Also, this is a misconception of updyke fans that Auburn is actively trying to stop updyke from getting a national championship. Good grief, child. Grow up.

Not really. Bama never lost one.

LSU clearly considers this preferable to playing in one and losing it.

Lot of experienced role and depth players. No stars. Lot of pressure. Lose 4 of the top 5 3 PT shooters from a team based around 3 PT shooting (Brown, Harper, Okeke, Dunbar).

some very good Freshman

1 top 100 player, 7th in the conference in average recruit. Bruce develops players, but not overnight.

Weekend SEC games : 13-14K
Weeknight SEC games : 10-12K
Weekend pre-SEC OOC games : 9-11K
Weeknight pre-SEC crap games : 5-7K

I'd say actually butts in seats was around 10K for the year.

Bookmarked for next year.

Like the Japanese celebrating Pearl Harbor on December 8th.

Or Democrats celebrating Obama's second term.
