Is this true? That doesn’t seem ideal.

Bruce is the reason bama started taking basketball serious. You’re welcome.

Bruce has a losing record to Oats and aside from 2019 he hasn’t done shite in the NCAA tournament while at Auburn

Bruce is apparently living rent free in your pea brain.

Sir, my brain would have to be quite large in order for that fatass to live in it.

You can argue it all you want, but Bruce is 100% the reason bama has had any success in basketball. It wasn’t until “little brother” achieved something bama hadn’t that y’all woke up. The majority of your fan base didn’t even realize you were in the final four. Like I said, You’re welcome. Oats is a prick but a great coach.

You are right about that. I mentioned when he went to AU that Georgia better be looking to step up their game too, but they didn't .

Did I say he hasn’t done shite overall?

He’s had one magical tournament run in ten years. Take that run away and his NCAAt accomplishments are nonexistent.

It’s ok. I get it. You are still in the coping phase. It could’ve been worse. At least you didn’t lose by one on a controversial call. UConn at least had the decency to put you down gently.

Yep. Frustrating.

But how many opening weekends did we even have before Bruce? How many of our opening weekends didn’t need to include a superstar talent like Barkley or Daniels?

Bruce has done a great job at one of the historically worst basketball programs in the country. Multiple conference championships and a final four appearance.

Things can get a lot better if he can find some guards that can get us through March Madness.

Saw this stat today. Is it right?

Total NCAA tournament wins in the state of Alabama:

Oats has 8 wins in 5 years
Bruce Pearl 7 wins in 10 years

Wow.

Nonsense.

ETA: Seriously, this is the order of Bama basketball coaches since 1968:

CM Newton
Wimp Sanderson
David Hobbs
Mark Gottfried
Anthony Grant
Avery Johnson
Nate Oats

Which part of that do you view as Bama not "taking basketball serious?" We had two coaches who didn't quite live up to expectations (Grant and Avery), but I doubt anyone thought Grant was a bad hire at the time. Avery was a gamble but you don't hire a former NBA coach if you aren't taking it seriously.

Lmaaaaaooooooooooooo

Auburn has made the NCAA tournament 13 times and only has 5 Sweet 16 appearances in their entire history.

Bama had made the NCAA tournament 20 times and had 8 Sweet 16 appearances before Bruce Pearl was hired.

Welcome to being a basketball fan. We know this is new for you.

Both teams hitting way above their historic winning percentages since Bruce and subsequently Oats. Both are competing for SEC championships consistently since Bruce. Take a step back remove your crimson colored glasses and try to be objective for once. We all know you can’t. Too much bama in you.

ETA both teams are making the tournament nearly every year instead of just the 20 and 13 times in the previous century.
