First off, take a breathe, it's going to be alright.

Now, realize the initial implication was that you can take a middling coach and still win a NC, in which case getting Kelly makes even less sense.

It's gonna be ok, my guy.

Probably because we'd rather win a championship and stay relevant rather than win a championship and fall off a cliff.

People on this board don't get that you gotta hire a coach that's available. Who knows how BK will do at LSU, but he won a ton of games at ND and LSU is banking on him doing more with better recruits. They're in a better situation than most of the conference when it comes to a coach.

Not sure why’d I have to take a breath. All I said was your comparison was dumb because a high school coach is kind of different from MSU Nick Saban and Ok State Les Miles

According to this board, he’s a shitty, overrated coach who will never win a big game so bringing up the other 3 head coaches and what they did before LSU seems pretty relevant. BK had more success than all 3 of them.

I know it will. We don’t have ULaLa’s head coach in charge of our program lmfao

Well at least with Kiffin you can't fire him on the tarmac of your airport. But you could lure him to the Memphis Airport for that with a photo of a cheerleader.

Why can’t Kiffin be fired on the tarmac of the airport in Oxford?

ESPN says that of Kelly's final 41 games in which Notre Dame was favored to win, they won 40 of them.

IMO, that's more telling than a few arse-whippings in really big games. Our last 2 coaches weren't capable of winning consistently against teams they were supposed to beat.

By this logic it sounds like y'all could have saved a bunch of money and just hired a HS coach.

Opposing fans are absolutely livid that LSU hired an actual football coach this time.

He did less with more at ND. He had MUCH better talent than the teams he played and consistently struggled.

For instance, he barely beat Tulsa 31-28 last year.

FSU took him to OT last year (FSU lost to Jacksonville St.).

We’ve already seen what it looks like when BK has better recruits than the opposing team

These same threads pop up daily. If Brian Kelly is as shitty as they say he is, why are they trying to convince themselves and everybody on this board?

Instead of any logical rebuttal, the best you can muster up was this and “take a breath” Take a lap.

Nah, the implication was you don't need a good coach to win. My response was then that you overpaid.

Not tough, you just got too red in the face to flesh it out.

So 2-0 in those games?

No, your response was we could’ve hired anybody - even a high school football coach.

This is a little rhetorical maneuver we call "hyperbole," and usually people understand it without having to be spoonfed.

If you don’t see LSU fans logic in thinking Kelly is a big upgrade over Orgeron and Miles you’re either trolling or a retard
