Your perception is BK is a bad coach because he hasn't won a NY6 bowl, NY6 bowls don't even matter today.
I have said that Brian Kelly is a good regular season coach.
He just isn’t a great one. Because of his lack of post season success it is easy to say he is a bad post season coach. Part of that is based on his lack of any NY6 bowl wins.
It doesn’t matter whether NY6 bowl games matter today or not. They certainly mattered for most of his career.
You seem to be incapable of admitting that post season success is part of how a coach ls evaluated and remembered.

Aggies still butt hurt they lost the best AD in America. He’s already got 2 national championship hires and Aggies abt like his resume is weak LMFAO. Add McMahon to the list and what BK will do long term and Woody prices he’s a genius.
poor aggies

He's a great AD, I don't blame him for going back to his alma mater.

I'm talking about a current coach in terms of predicting future success.
The best predictor of an individual’s future performance is past performance.
Based on 22 years of past performance, no one has any reason to believe that Brian Kelly will win a consequential post season game.

He'll retire from here. He has 26 wins in 2-1/2 seasons. Not exactly panic time in BR.
Not to mention help is on the way with incoming classes. Getting mocked when you suffer a rare loss is usually a pretty good indication that your program isn't a basement dweller. The Tigers may be down this week- but they'll be ready for the next one up.
But once again- congrats to aTm on a really solid game.

LSU is 2-0 in bowls under Brian Kelly.

Congrats on the win. Let's see if you can keep it going.

I don't think anyone is saying he is a "great" head coach.
Your argument is muh he didn't win any NY6 bowls or conference championship games, thus he's a bad postseason coach. The conference championship sample size is so small, it's really a dishonest talking point.
Meanwhile, Notre Dame hasn't won a NY6 bowl in 30 years so perhaps that's more of a Notre Dame problem than a BK problem. BK got Notre Dame to a NY6 bowl in his final season there and Freeman choked it away.
It seems folks like you actually try to penalize Kelly for his success.
He brings Cincinnati to their first ever NY6 bowl, muh he lost though.
He brings Notre Dame their only championship game appearance, muh he lost to Nick Saban.
He got a .500 team to the SECCG in his first year, muh he got blown out by Georgia though.
He develops a Heisman winner in year 2 at LSU, muh lost 3 games with a Heisman winner.

When's the last time AU was as good as LSU is right now?

How are you talking trash about LSU when Auburn isn't even close to being relevant??

Doesn't really matter what the fanbase thinks.
That is the truth, LSU couldn't take on the buyout (even if they could afford it) without it turning into a political problem in the state.
Fans have to ride it out for a few more years good or bad.

I don't really understand all of this "fire BK" talk, he hasn't even completed his third year and has won 75% of his games.
Posted on 10/28/24 at 3:19 pm to SidewalkTiger
I agree with you there is nothing so show yet that his hire was a mistake or he needs to be bought out.

It is all about expectations. Because he does win a lot of games, I think most people are flabbergasted he can’t ever win the big one. If you are happy with a coach that will go 9-3 most seasons though, you have your guy.
The problem is that most LSU fans predicted LSU to finish somewhere between 12-0 and 10-2 this season. They may finish 10-2 this year, but it will be tough.
So it is clear expectations are higher than 9-3. Every time that Kelly has had a chance to win a big game and change the narrative he has blown it. Again, he is a good coach. But he has been horrible when the lights are brightest on the bigger stages.
For all the success that Kelly has had, and the amount of time he has spent ranked in the top 15 in his career, it is really amazing that he hasn’t managed to win even one big post season game.
When I think of Brian Kelly in the post season. I think about Jalen Carter picking Jayden Daniels up like a toy and Manti Teo and his made believe girlfriend getting run off the field by Alabama.
Regardless of what he does, he will be LSU’s coach for a few more years. Again, he is too successful to fire regardless of buyout. But if he doesn’t make the playoffs this year there will be a lot of unhappy fans.

We need an old TAMU roller coaster meme for LSU.
We need an in-game roller coaster meme for Auburn football where y’all get up by 10 points and then shite the bed in the fourth quarter

Probably need to adjust that to just the 10-2. I dont think any real LSU fans expected to go 12-0 or 11-1.

Maybe not that specific situation right this moment, brother.

I would have said 9-3 before the season, probably adjust down to 8-4 if I knew Guillory and Perkins would be out for the year.
