Brian Kelly pledges to match up to $1 million in LSU NIL contributions with donation to athletics fund
I thought coaches can't put any money into the NIL.

It will go in the TAF tiger athletic fund. I don't know if that's how they get around that or if the rule doesn't exist.

I just know if it wasn't legal they wouldn't be reporting it

It's already been posted here multiple times too. LSU news seems to make it here faster than LSUs own board

Hahaha all the “we poor!” No this just means bad news for the rest of you and you know it. The collective was blowing up recently ….now it’s soaring. He will use this on portal players but watch for him to shoot for a top recruiting class again w/ these funds.

Honestly good for him. I can't tell you how many times I watched Hugh frick up week after week and think if this guy had any character he'd be forsaking some of his salary to fix this mess.

This is what I don’t understand. Is TAF a NIL that pays players or not?

I’m not seeing this as a bad thing? It shows that he cares about his program enough to invest his own money in it. I think it’s brilliant.

You’re talking about a program that fleeces a hospital for money. They don’t give a shite.

Crazy that he has to take a pay cut just to be competitive in the NIL world.

Thanks for staying up 24 hours a day to be the first responder to missouri threads, maybe you could start actually contributing something instead of just being a little bitch this IS a FOOTBALL board.

The real question with BK is will he use his buyout money for NIL

It's called leadership. True leaders don't ask other people to do something (donate) without doing it themselves first.

How bad does a coach want to win?

NIL has not proven so far to make any team better.

the problem here is the perception.

if a coach is doing this it's because he can't get boosters to pony up otherwise.

it's the kind of thing a utah state or tulane does lol

He should offer 2-3 million. He’s making 10 a year and hasn’t deserved half of it
