It's also a school that can't stand the fact that no one really cares about ND football anymore. Other than the sports writers who hype their program to the sky and their fan base who gives a damn? Heck, anytime they string 2 wins together the National Championship talk starts. NO one gets more credit for less than ND

Hey coach, good game.
Later... talk shite about Mason when he isn't around to beat your arse....

Yep, Franklin took one of the best WRs in SEC history, Jordan Matthews, and 2 other fringe NFL guys (Boyd and Krause) along with the 2nd best RB in Vanderbilt history, Zac Stacy, to historic success at Vanderbilt. Frnaklin is probably one of the top 10 coaches in the country, too. Meanwhile, you clearly don't understand how Franklin recruited. It was not bad...but it was very scattered. His recruits typically had very little cohesion and drive, many of them struggling even while Franklin was there but especially so with the new regime.

Mason is probably the 3rd or 4th best Vanderbilt coach since the 1920s. He's probably 5th all time behind McGugin, Franklin, DiNardo, and Steve Sloan. Maybe Art Guepe, Bobby Johnson, and one or two more have a case, but all but Franklin, DiNardo, and Johnson were before 1980.

Was Cunningham a Franklin guy or a Mason guy?

Franklin. Ironically, for an offensive guy, Franklin had much better results with his defensive recruits. The big splashes on offense like Jordan Cunningham, Brian Kimbrow, Johnny McCrary, and others failed. Meanwhile, Ralph Webb was terribly underrated out of high school and is top 10 on the SEC's all-time rushing list now.

Vandy was 2017 State Champions in Tennessee.
Vanderbilt won one SEC game last year. Guess which one.

Kentucky, Ole Miss, Florida, Tennessee, Arkansas, Vandy and Mizzou would not beat ND. That’s half of the conference. So no... most would not beat ND
Aside from Arkansas and probably Tennessee, the rest should beat Notre Dame

Everyone cut-blocks to some extent. Brian Kelly is just a little purple bitch.
I remember him on TV during halftime bitching about Navy and GT running inside veer plays and cut blocking the shite out of his linemen.
Does he not watch film? It's what triple-option teams do.

Which they should for the sake of college football nostalgia.
