That is how a coach is supposed to respond. None of this fake, sorrowful apologetic type garbage. I guess Kelly was expecting him to say he would certainly look into this and take steps necessary.

"It's legal, but it's bad football," Kelly said.

Tells me all I need to know.

Kelly may have a heart attack if they ever play tech then.

Do they not play GTech? I would think their paths would cross since the ACC and all. Pretty sure Techs coach will tell him the same thing

I would have appreciated if he started out with "I really respect what his teams have accomplished despite his coaching efforts but I really dont care"

Brian Kelly will never be seen in Nashville again (at least while Derek Mason is there).

ND's not really in the ACC kinda sorta?

They don't play GT again until 2024. If this article is accurate they've scheduled games all the way until 2037. Thats a long time for one team to cuck a conference they're milking.

ND future ACC schedules

That's exactly what they're doing. The ACC should be ashamed of themselves.

If Notre Dame makes the playoffs on that schedule it will be a joke and they will get exposed

I'll never forget his halftime interview during the championship game when he said "maybe Alabama doesn't come out for the 2nd half"

"It's legal, but it's bad football," Kelly said. "It's just bad football, and I have no problem saying it. You know, we're so concerned about frontal cuts and we got a defensive end chopping [Mack] on every play, and he hung in there every play, was digging him out, blocking in line."

The hell? If it's legal, it's not a fricking chop block. How does a school with ND's reputation hire someone who can't even finish a valid syllogism? A) Chop blocks are illegal, will get you 15 yards a pop. B) The blocks in question were legal. Ergo, C).....

Edit: The more I re-read Coach Mason's comments, the more he's my favorite Vandy coach ever.
