Coach Vs statement was way over the top and looked to hard to be trying and drive a narrative they wanted to portray. When it first came out, I was thinking why is that level of detail even required. Especially since Gundy resigned. Now I’m starting to understand and going to have my popcorn ready for what this head coach might do next.

Sounds like Venables was jealous of Gundy and did not like him and was looking for a reason to get rid of him.
He succeeded in doing just that.
Not sure I would care to be an assistant coach under him.
Venables took the easy way out and read a bunch of BS in his statement. Defend your coach who did absolutely nothing wrong. Have some gumption and stand up for your coach. But no he crumbled under pressure. Look for him to do the same when a game is on the line.
What about the player who wrote it?

Venables sounded just like Jeff Long when he fired Petrino. Long wanted really bad to be known as Mr. Integrity, reality was that Long was intimidated and scared of Petrino.

Might it be that he was forced out due to failing to lockdown a local top recruit? Wide receiver coach and the recruit is a wide receiver.
